A little bit back, we talked about how he did the right thing by not bailing Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) out of her contract. She needed to learn. However, we think Ned has a lot to learn himself. At first, he seemed to do the right thing by forcing Brook Lynn to face the consequences of entering into that contract without reading it. However, he did try to pay the guy off later on to break it. We get why he did it. Linc (Dan Buran) was inappropriate with her. However, we personally think he should’ve just had her take him to court over his inappropriate actions. That was mistake number one.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate his second mistake was not seeing Brook Lynn for what she is. Honestly, not everyone is suited for a 9-5 thing, especially in the corporate world. Brook Lynn is obviously one of those people, but he still pressured her and she chose to join ELQ. Just from how she handled her hostess job, he should’ve told him she couldn’t handle the new gig. But, he went leveled up in stupid.
Despite knowing she’s never had a job quite like this, and knowing where her true excitement and focus was, he still handed her a very confidential, very important document to deal with her first day. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) pointed out the folly of that after Brook Lynn’s blunder that blew the deal.

Instead of admitting that right off, he got snippy with Michael for questioning his judgement. We don’t remember any specific apology coming to him yesterday. What’s worse is, he’s been planning all along to keep the job that Michael’s expecting to come back to in a few weeks or so. We think this blown ELQ deal is the Universe’s way of giving him some well-deserved karma. Brook Lynn’s right on something—family doesn’t seem to be the most important thing, after all. But he’s got an even bigger punishment on the way.

After he dropped Brook Lynn, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate she had a fit. She called him out for the disloyalty, then she called Linc to sell her stocks. Ned deserves that and more. Again, he’s not showing the best judgement lately, and it really calls into question his leadership. From everything we’ve seen, Michael’s been a good CEO for the company, and we’re sure he’ll find a way to help fix things. That is, if Ned can get out of the way for two second and let go of the ego.
