ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) surprised fans when she revealed she was having brain surgery. Since then, we’ve see her character make a huge decision that obviously was intended to facilitate her recovery.
We’ve got to say, we think they did a good job with this whole situation, and we’re glad to read that Storms is doing well. Let’s talk about what’s up with Maxie and her portrayer.

First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal there was a bit of life imitating art when Maxie had a bit of an emergency herself. Her crazy nurse, hired by Peter August (Wes Ramsey) had planned to induce labor at his orders. So, Maxie found herself in a desperate escape attempt.
Which, of course, let her to having the baby in the woods. Luckily for her, Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) was around. But it didn’t save Maxie from having to carry on with her plot to hide the baby by giving her to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). This has led to a lot of trouble.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Going with it
We love when writers can make the most of a situation. Much like we enjoyed the way the Buffy the Vampire Slayer writers had to deal with numerous complications behind the scenes in season four, including losing multiple cast members, GH had to improvise as well. We think they did a good job of it.
Over a little time, Maxie became increasingly dependent on visiting “Bailey”, which worried Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson). ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Maxie had one choice to save this scam—leave town.
We’re looking forward to the day she learns Peter isn’t a threat anymore, even though it means Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and more will be devastated by the truth there was never a Bailey. Overall, this twist felt natural and logical, and was played out brilliantly by Storms.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Recovery
As for the actress, she did a series of Instagram posts updating fans on her progress. According to Storms, her doctor’s pleased, and she’s been making the most of her downtime. Not only is she spending lots of time with her daughter, but she’s been devoting a lot of time to binge watching and being crafty.
Something we’re sure and she Emme Rylan (ex-Lulu Spencer, GH) are bonding over. She also revealed in a post that Auntie Emme has been helping out with Harper by providing plenty of swim time. Hopefully, this means we’ll see a well Storms on screen sooner rather than later.
