ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) recently had a talk with Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth). Since this came right after Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) said there was nothing to be lost from figuring out if Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) had a problem or not, we assumed the best. We were wrong. Let’s talk about what happened October 13th and why it means trouble for Brook Lynn.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The deal
So, here’s the situation. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers say that the whole chat with Austin was a put on. She insisted on him saying what he thinks might be going on with Leo with a purpose. She will apparently intend to get him busted for violating privacy laws, which would likely cost him his license.
Unfortunately for brook Lynn, Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) did not take to Brook Lynn’s tactics well. And we can’t blame her. Brook Lynn pulling this seems ill-advised, especially given how sensitive Olivia is right now about her child and the questions around his behaviors.

Obviously, Brook Lynn has good reason to want Austin out of here. She’s worried about her secret, especially with Austin remembering something she said to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) while he was supposed to be unconscious. Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will obviously be on the war path when he learns the truth, so on one level, we can understand her dilemma. However, we’re going to say we’re totally #TeamAustin and fully support Olivia’s disgust and hurt over what Brook Lynn did.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Problem
Here’s the thing that gets us. Brook Lynn has been raging against Austin even more in the wake of his observations of Leo. She doesn’t like the distance it’s putting between Olivia and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth). She’s also been complaining about how he’s likely using a child to his own ends. This is what you’d call a mirror moment.
She used a child that didn’t exist to get the ELQ shares back. Now, she’s using a real baby in this scheme. Sure, she’s mostly about helping Maxie hide her daughter, but Valentin’s demand for the ELQ share transfer to wait until after the birth was another big motivator. And now, she’s used these observations about Leo to lure Austin into this trap.
Which is basically using the kid, so pot just met kettle. We just wonder if Brook Lynn will eventually see where her anger over this is really coming from and deal with it, or continue to bury her own shame in judgements on Austin. We’ll see.
But we do have the feeling her tactics are going to make things even worse for her when her baby lie comes out. Not to mention, this is not going to do her mission of bridging the gap between Ned and Olivia any favors. If anything, it might make her question the wisdom of being part of this family even more.
