ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal we’ve made no secret we’re not a fan of Stella Henry (Vernee Watson-Johnson) right now. Her behavior since her return has been, as some would say, “extra”. Recently, she seemed to have a moment where she realized the error of her ways. And in a predictable manner, she got an out. Let’s take a look at what happened and why we think this is a missed opportunity.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Fate intervenes
First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Stella made one last big play to save the Ashford marriage. She stole the divorce papers and had another go at Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). And, of course, urged Jordan Ashford (Brianna Nicole Henry) to fight for her marriage.
Unfortunately, in the process, she exposed old history to Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla). This caused a rift between her and Trina. Plus, her encouragement led Jordan to getting her heart broken even more than it already was. Over all, this campaign of hers was a massive #fail.
Then, fate stepped in. Just as Stella was about to put those papers in the mail, she suddenly had a stroke. This, of course, destroyed the papers. Not only that, they were thrown out and Stella has no real memory of the papers and what they were. So, right now, she’s getting a free pass for the theft. And her medical situation worked to her advantage.

Obviously, a medical crisis can understandably clear away a lot of anger and resentment. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal everyone involved has basically forgiven and excused Stella. They’re more worried about her health and recovery. We think going this route was taking the easy road. Even if people find out Stella stole those papers, they likely will let her get away with that with little, if any, consequence.
We think the more interesting story would have been the estrangement between Stella and the rest. She could have, over time, earned her way to forgiveness and proved she’s changed her ways. Now, that likely won’t happen.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Toxic
To us, this reinforces the whole thing where you always forgive family, no matter what. Because you never know what might happen. Sometimes, family needs to be held accountable and cut out of the picture. If Trina hadn’t overheard that conversation and gotten Stella so upset, chances are high she would have kept to the plan.
Given how she outright ignored Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) more than once, we doubt that would have changed without her crisis. And we still have a bad taste in our mouths from Stella suddenly being concerned, after years of a relationship between TJ Ashford (Tahj Bellow) and Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos), she threw some negativity his way about how their relationship could be perceived.
So, she wasn’t worried about them being discriminated against for all these years, and suddenly, as TJ is looking forward to a new phase with Molly, she puts that on him? We think that was another thing she could have left unsaid.
