ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers finds that Trina just lost her Dad. So today when she skipped class for a midterm review to show up at the gallery and chill with Ava Jerome (Maura West) for a bit, then you know what? I think she was entitled. I’m not saying she handled it the best, she definitely should have cleared it with her Mom first or got some special permission from a guidance counselor (hey it’s a soap, it could happen) but ultimately, she has an A in the class. She said that out of her own mouth and it wouldn’t be getting in her academic way to cut one class at school.
Honestly, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) could be doing a lot of worse things with her time and ultimately with her grief. Instead of turning over Mom’s liquor cabinet, or going out and partying with a bunch of rowdy kids, she wants to surround herself with art, something creative and productive and beautiful and she should be applauded for that. No, I’m not saying that she should make a regular occurence of skipping school and hanging out at the gallery instead but I think this once could be excused.

On the other hand, I get that Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) has every right to be concerned, Trina was kidnapped this month and her Dad was murdered before her very eyes. Okay yes, she’s just using those Mama Bear instincts properly but once she found out Trina was safe and that she was okay I think she should lay off and consider that maybe Trina just needed a break and needed to go someplace that was mentally and emotionally safe for her. Every kid needs that. I think she could excuse it just once, hug the kid, cry a little, and tell her not to do it again and not be such a wet blanket.
Also, seriously, what did Ava ever do to this woman? I get that Portia’s probably being super judgemental because Ava got with the serial killer who ended up taking Kiki Jerome’s (Haley Erin) life, but did she read the spread in Crimson? I’m pretty sure it covered the fact that she was manipulated by Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) into thinking that he was actually his brother, Dr, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and what a struggle she had upon realizing what she had done to her daughter. There’s a time and a place for judgement, but poor Ava needs to find some peace already regarding that. Geeze! So yeah, I think Portia did a little bit of overreacting today. All kids mess up, but Trina learned her lesson and I think Ava has learned hers as well. Let’s hope these two get a chance to prove themselves soon. Stay tuned!!!
