ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that it’s been a long time coming, but the truth about Peter August (Wes Ramsey) might make or break two different couples in Port Charles. Of course, we are talking about Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Finn Hamilton (Michael Easton) along with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Here’s what you need to know.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, ‘General Hospital’ co-head writer Chris Van Etten puts it this way, “The question for both couples is whether the truth about Peter will come out and if so, how would it rejigger these relationships.”

The writer points out that both couples have a lot invested in this situation and that’s why the truth about Peter will not only rock the boat, but also lay the groundwork for everyone’s futures – for better or for worse. Van Etten added, “Jason and Sam’s future is dependent on whether they can get the goods on Peter. Anna and Finn’s relationship is dependent on whether Peter’s future can keep up his cover or not. Peter’s future is dependent on whether he can move fast enough to protect the character that he was created in the minds of everyone in Pot Charles – and if he can, where does that leave Jason and Sam?”
Needless to say, there’s also the fact that Maxie Jones (Kristen Stomes) is going to be floored when she finds out the truth, too. As perfect as things have been up to this point, it will be interesting to see Maxie’s reaction when she finds out just what Peter has been doing behind her back this entire time. Of course, ‘General Hospital’ fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
