ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Sonny’s kids week continues. This episode was from June 4, 2010. This episode brought up a very uncomfortable issue for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), as well as showing us an often-mentioned grudge/plot. Let’s take a look at what happened and give a few first impressions of some new-to-us material.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: True to theme
First, we have to say that this theme week seems to be the best one yet. With the other weeks, it felt like we barely got the couple/topic the episodes were supposedly chosen for. This particular collection has been packed with father/child drama from start to finish, and we’ve loved the uncomfortable questions that arise from these moments. For example, in the previous offering, where Sonny shoots Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), who’d betrayed him. It also showed something that wiki hints was caused by Sonny. But this one was just as dramatic.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Awkward questions
The episode had a big focus on Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) and her infamous abusive boyfriend that shall not be named. This relationship had huge repercussions, even now—ten years later. But back then, it was more about how Sonny might have contributed to Kristina’s choices. He got invited to a therapy session with her and essentially got accused of being abusive. This offended Sonny. He went on and on about how he’s never hit a woman and the idea of it disgusts him. But Kristina and her therapist disagree with his definition of abuse being only physical.
General Hospital spoilers reveal they spent some of the session talking about how he is verbally abusive, which is just as bad. Sonny ended up having enough and demanded he and Kristina leave right then and there. But it obviously got to him, to some extent. Later on, he approached Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) to get her take on things. Based on her “don’t ask a question if you don’t want the answer,” we think she was about to tell him that he is, in fact abusive. The fact he even felt the need to go to Carly and ask showed that it made Sonny think a bit, and the possibility of being abusive bothered him. A nice moment of reflection and where a possible shift in the character might have taken place.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The beginning
Of course, there was also another often-talked about past event in this episode. Specifically, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Adrianne León) seducing Dante. It seemed like a nice scene to start with. Brook Lynn was even assisting in a dinner for Lulu Spencer (Julie Marie Berman) and Dante. However, we know today that she’d tried to seduce Dante away from Lulu. We’re just curious about why Brooke Lynn gets so much hate directed at her by Lulu, considering Carly was the one who wanted Brook Lynn to do it. Why not still hold that resentment toward the one who actually had the idea? We can only assume her mother’s friendship with Sonny is a part of that. But it still seems a bit wrong to us. And we believe current-day Lulu (Emme Rylan) should calm down a bit in regards to Brook Lynn.
