ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers tease that star Real Andrews (Taggert) is opening up about his co-star Genie Francis (Laura Spencer) and how the two haven’t missed a beat, despite the fact that it’s been some time since he was last on the show. As a matter of fact, Real says that it was pretty easy to step right back into things with Genie, both on and off camera. Here’s what he has to say.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the handsome actor put it this way, “We kind of had a running joke when we were on set because everybody was so used to calling me detective .They would call me detective and I’d be like ‘It’s Lieutenant.’ And of course, on my first day back, I had a scene with Genie and Genie had the line, ‘Oh look, it’s so good to see you, Detective,’ And I look at her and I go, ‘Uh, it’s Lieutenant.’ That was a fun little ad-lib.”

Real Andrews went on to talk about what kind of great actress Genie is and of course, how kind and wonderful she is off-screen to everyone that gets to know her. But that’s something General Hospital fans already knew, right?
The actor further explained, “That was to no surprise, right, because she’s such a phenomenal actress, but she didn’t miss a beat. I didn’t say that in rehearsal; I waited until we were taping because I just wanted to have fun with it. And she was right there; her reaction was awesome. She’s a legend! So, to be able to do a scene with her was very cool. I can’t remember ever having a scene with her before, so that was great. It was awesome! I was so excited to do that my first day back.”
With that said, fans are certainly hoping to see more of Taggert and Laura share some future scenes together. Of course, General Hospital fans will have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next!
