ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) has made tons of bad choices since his return. This has alienated him from basically everyone, plus caused distance between him and Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel). But is there a bigger meaning behind all these missteps? First, let’s cound all the mistakes Nikolas has made and how it hurt his family. First, obviously, was his choice to play dead for three years. He keeps pleading good intent behind it, but we can’t help but feel it was mostly a bit of cowardice and an inability to think ahead. Since then, it’s been one problem after another.
For example, nearly getting Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) killed by pretending to be a secret bodyguard. Or making Ava Jerome (Maura West) believe she’s being haunted by ghosts. And let’s not forget how he basically chased away Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig).
Then, he pulled Spencer into a plan to keep Ava from getting anything out of that post-nup. Every move has made his family and friends angrier and more disappointed in him by the day. Something had to give, and we think Nikolas is breaking under the pressure.

Following Lulu’s lecture about him involving Spencer, he also got into a fight with Ava. She learned about his plan with Spencer and won’t be cheated out of what’s hers. Of course, we think this is mostly wounded pride talking.
But we think she’s not the only one with a bit of emotional baggage here. They clearly are both feeling the attraction, but Nikolas did something that could put him in a bad spot.
In a recent episode, he kissed Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). This is a clear violation of the agreement and it would lose him most of what he fought so hard to recover. Plus, it won’t do his damaged relationship with Spencer any good, either.
Spencer made it clear he’s not interested in seeing most of their fortune going to Ava. So, he’ll be angry about that. But, he’ll also likely be upset if he learns how Nikolas and Ava seem to be connecting.

It seems every move he makes is worse. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal he has a lot to lose, between the fortune and his son’s forgiveness. We think all of these recent mistakes are self-sabotage.
Nikolas got so much Hell from basically everyone, and he clearly felt bad about it. Not enough to keep his nose clean, though. Deep down, we don’t believe Nikolas sees himself worthy of either Spencer’s love or the money.
He’s unconsciously doing everything wrong to punish himself for all the damage done. It should be interesting to see how (or if) he comes to grips with that and makes real progress.
