ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicates that things might get very complicated if not also messy between Nikolas Cassadine and Ava Jerome when new episodes finally come back. As many GH fans know, Nikolas is being forced to choose between his family’s fortune or having his son Spencer back in his life. And of course, Ava isn’t making things very easy on him. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the handsome actor admits that there has been more and more friction between his character Nikolas Cassadine and Ava Jerome (Maura West) ever since Nikolas brought up the ‘d’ word. And by the ‘D’ word, we mean divorce as he is willing to give up the Cassadine fortune in order to have his son Spencer back in his life.

The actor told the publication, “Her saying she was going to [hold him to the terms of the post-nup] was hurtful to him. I don’t think everything between them is genuinely about the fortune, but after this, it doesn’t seem like she’s someone he can have a relationship with.”
When asked why Nikolas didn’t fully explain his feelings about the fortune versus having his son back in his life, Marcus explained, “Honestly, it was hard for me to understand at first, but his whole life, this empire has been in the spotlight. It’s how he was raised. It’s not just about money, and I think the importance of it is very real to him.”
