ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) is at a turning point in his life. Given his past actions—and his interest in the Ice Princess—he could be another Cassadine villain. Especially since he now looks at Victor Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) as some sort of savior. However, Victor’s obvious attempt to get Spencer on his side might just lead to the opposite outcome. Here’s what we see.

First off, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate Spencer is still angry at Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). He’s refused to accept Ava Jerome (Maura West) as his stepmother, and hates her even more than he hates Nikolas for his abandonment. While we can’t blame Spencer for his feelings, and don’t see Nikolas as the best role model, you know what a certain franchise says about hate…
If Spencer can’t manage to deal with his anger and abandonment issues, he’s heading for a bad road. And it makes him even more vulnerable to the even worse influences in his life. And one of the worst ones is someone most of the people around him don’t like.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Manipulation
We’re, of course, talking about Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). Let’s forget a minute that she enabled Spencer’s revenge and even egged it on. Let’s also forget her desperate attempt to hurt Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla), one of the good influences in his life.
Her most recent actions show just how bad she is. During her visit to Spring Ridge, Esme was your typical manipulative significant other. She is clearly going out of her way to isolate Spencer and keep his anger and resentment going.
So far, she seems to be winning. Each time she’s done something he finds questionable, she’s managed to flip the script and make herself out as some sort of victim. Poor little Esme, so mistreated. But we do think there’s hope for him to break free from her web of abuse. And make no mistake, the way she’s trying to make Spencer out to be the bad guy if he dares to question anything is abusive. So is the attempts at isolating Spencer.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Blessing in disguise?
If there’s one thing we think can work in Spencer’s favor, it’s being in Spring Ridge. Already, he’s questioning her desire to spend time with Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom). We believe that if Nikolas and others continue to reach out, they can and will get through to him. A manipulator can only snow a victim so long, and more and more, Esme is giving hints as to who she really is.
The more time Spencer is locked up there, the more time he’ll have to think. And he might just witness more attempts by Esme to sneak time with Ryan, something he won’t approve of. The big factor, though, will be his friends. They, especially Trina, have to show up for Spencer. By doing so, they’ll be proving Esme wrong. And every crack in the façade (and the narrative she’s pushing) is crucial to breaking her hold.
