‘General Hospital (GH)’ spoilers reveal Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) is the gift that keeps on giving. It’s been at least a couple of months since the show revealed her body was found following her attempt to run off with Wiley.
However, she is still a big topic of conversation, and she’s creating a massive headache for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Honestly, it is getting a bit much. If we never hear another character go on about that fake marriage protecting Wiley, we’ll be very happy with the writers. And we’re not very happy with Carly’s latest. However, this could be fun to watch her squirm. Let’s take a look at what we see.
General Hospital spoilers: Planting seeds
First, General Hospital spoilers indicate Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) found the necklace Nelle used to wear while spending time at the cabin where the infamous fight took place. She hid it for a little while before proudly showing it off to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Not know what it signified, Sonny admired the necklace and Avery loved that. But this is where things got problematic.
General Hospital spoilers: Nice try
After Carly found out about the necklace, she pretended it needed to be fixed to keep it out of Avery’s hands. She was scared the wrong people might see it and put the pieces together. After all, she and Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) are scared Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will notice and figure out Nelle was her daughter. That would be a huge blow, especially with her being dead now.
So, in the latest episode Carly did what she does best—meddle. When she learned Avery has the necklace again, thanks to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), she came up with a plan. Carly intended to use a custody meeting to switch the real one with a fake. She even got Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) to take time out of her busy schedule watching over a kidnapping victim to help. We can’t with how silly this plan really was.
General Hospital spoilers: Clueless
For someone who has had multiple children, General Hospital spoilers indicate Carly knows little-to-nothing about kids. Especially ones Avery’s age. Carly made a point of switching with a necklace that wouldn’t match, should Nina see it and try to fit the two halves tonight. We can’t believe she thinks Avery won’t notice. Kids tend to do that, and we think Avery would be hyper aware of every nuance of that necklace.
After all, Ava Jerome (Maura West) has pointed out Avery considers it her good luck charm. Plus, she is extremely attached to it right now because Sonny liked it. We’d be willing to bet money Avery will know that’s not her real necklace. And we will love watching Carly squirm if that’s the case. She’ll have so many questions to answer, she’s bound to trip up.
Especially now, as she’s got so much else going on. It seems like, no matter what she does and what her intentions are, Carly just keeps making things worse. Just look at what happened when she tried to “fix” the situation with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) or Jax need to do something to get her under control before she blows up the entire family’s life.
