ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate this Friday’s episode was a flashback in more ways than one. It was around two years old, but it was also filled with far older clips. It feels like it was probably one of those budget episodes where the setup is as simple as possible, with lots of opportunity to play old clips. This one, however, felt far better done than some of the flashbacks inserted recently. Let’s take a look at some awesome moments from the episode.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: We melt
First off, we have to confess something. A good voice is something that will make a character/actor even more interesting to us. And that’s exactly what we got on Friday. Wally Kurth, who plays Ned Quartermaine, had the chance to show off his other talents. Ned performed a song at an event with a special purpose. We loved everything, from the vocals to the lyrics and the music. We’d love to see more opportunities like that for the actor on screen.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Touching moment
We started watching a little while after this episode first aired, so this was a great one for us. See, we’ve loved the Mike Corbin (Max Gail) story and ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate this was one on Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Bernard) earliest attempts to help his father. He and the Corinthos family got some advice from Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) on how to help Mike. Their idea? They set up the Metro Court to look like Luke’s and put Mike in charge for the night. Watching him interact with everyone and reminisce was sweet, and makes us dread what’s coming next for Mike even more.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Tribute
The episode also gave viewers a look at one of the first episodes as several characters discussed Dr. Steve Hardy (John Beradino) and the impact he had on GH. We recently got a chance to look at episode one, so it was cool to see that clip included in the episode.
Other flashback moments showed Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) as a young guy looking for help from Lee Baldwin (Peter Hansen), as well as Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) shocking the heck out of Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) with a little family history. We also got to see Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) with a baby Michael. Here’s hoping there’s a lot of these types of moments ahead as we continue to flashback to episodes past. Right now, this could connect newer fans with the rich history of this genre more and help sustain it as those in charge work out how to get back to business.
