ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers finds that while the show hasn’t officially announced anything as far as filming goes, even though their aim was to be back at work by July 20th (but I think that got post-ponted), a tweet from Nancy Lee Grahn, AKA Alexis Davis, let everyone in the twitterverse know that filming has resumed at GH, and that every proper protocol has been taken in order to assure everyone’s safety on-set.
“1st day back. The uncompromising detail & apparent hard work of all involved have my deepest respect. I felt safe, protected & more importantly that my being there was safe for others. Organizing this took epic care & I applaud all involved @GeneralHospital @Disney @ABCNetwork”
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: First day back at filming for GH!
This bodes well for all of us, the cast and crew especially, but also for us fans because with the proper protocols in place, we can enjoy our show without having any of our favorites felled by a virus. This also means that at least one part of our daytime routines will go back to normal, at least somewhat.
Yes, it will be a bit of a stretch to get used to the new social distancing guidelines in the storylines but that really isn’t too much to ask in exchange for these guys coming to work every day and entertaining us.
We know that B&B has taken extensive protocol when they went back to shooting. So far GH hasn’t really come forward with what type of protocol they will be using but we can only assume that it’s going to be using SO’s for love scenes or in extreme cases, dolls. You know what? We’re okay with it. We will stan whatever in order to have our actors safe and our show back.
You can’t be too careful in today’s world, so if social distancing and dolls is what it takes to get things back on the air and have our favorite characters and plots entertaining us daily, then that’s what it takes. Cool. We’re here for it.
I do have to wonder though if this is going to affect the plotlines on the soaps any, however. It looks like having scenes with crowds in them won’t be a thing for quite awhile. Also any scenes requiring extras might be cut out but you know, that might be okay for the time being, at least until we can all get a vacciine going.
There could be more phone conversations and more social media implimented in storylines though. That would be interesting to see how all that would come together. Stay tuned!!!
