ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers finds that star Marcus Coloma has recently opened up in the latest issue of ABC Soaps in Depth about his character Nikolas Cassadine’s return to Port Charles. Here’s what he has to say. Asked if he had any idea if he knew what the audience’s reaction would be to seeing Nikolas back home, Marcus said, “You know, there are always so many unknowns. I felt an excitement, but there are so many times in your head as an actor where you are like, ‘Oh, man, this is going to be amazing!’ and then on the day of, it’s blocked differently or whatever and it just doesn’t happen the way you wanted it to.
The way it read, I thought, ‘This could be awesome!’ But I didn’t really know how it would be received. With how much we film and the intensity of it all, you get so invested in the story that I was just in it. I was geeking out in that sense; I was fully invested in, ‘I get to confront Valentin!’”

Marcus also opened up about Nikolas’ new and improved relationship with Ava Jerome (Maura West). Actually, make that Ava Cassadine. She said, “It’s an interesting game that they are playing. I think Ava is the only person right now who seems to understand him. It’s done very subtly, but I could see it on the set with Maura that, ‘This girl gets him and has his back.’ It’s a complicated, interesting relationship. They challenge each other.”
Now that’s something that a lot of fans would agree on. As a matter of fact, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers tease that in the coming months we will either see Nikolas and Ava growing closer together or perhaps trying to kill one another. There really is no in-between!
