ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that star Jon Lindstrom (Kevin and Ryan) is opening up about his nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards. Here’s what he has to say!
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the actor opened up about what scenes he decided to submit for this year’s Emmy reel. He told the publication, “At the beginning of the year, Kevin was trapped in a basement and Ryan was out wreaking havoc. The arc I liked the most was [later], when things sort of came to light and Kevin had to eat crow from everyone and Ryan refused to kind of give in to his situation. To me, there was a really well-grounded base to the story of these two brothers and the journey. So that’s really what I submitted, the story after the story.”

And while this year’s ceremony is going to be quite different, seeing how it’s going to be a virtual one, Jon says that the thing he is going to miss the most is seeing the entire daytime drama community together under one roof. “Well, I wish we could all be together with the open bar and the dinner and have some laughs, but it is what it is, so we should just make the best of it! It’s still the same honor and I’m still going to feel just as good should I be lucky enough to take one home,” he said. However, Jon still doesn’t know where he will be the night of the virtual ceremony. He added, “I don’t know – maybe I will find a pool at it in a tux? This is unchartered territory!”
The 2020 Daytime Emmy Awards airs this Friday, June 26th and will be presented by Sheryl Underwood. Check your local listings for times.
