British Royal Family News says that royal critics no longer have a reason to suggest that the members of the monarchy are “hiding inside their castles.” That’s because with the exception of Queen Elizabeth, who is still at Windsor Castle, all of the senior members have now gone out in public for their scheduled royal engagements this week. This, of course, includes Kate Middleton, who was seen paying a visit to a local garden center in Norfolk. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the Daily Mail, the Duchess of Cambridge returned to her royal duties this week with a visit to a family-owned business. The 38-year-old future Queen Consort dressed down in a gilet and jeans for her low-key trip. This was her first public appearance since the royal family went into lockdown – along with the rest of the UK – back on March 23.

In addition to Kate Middleton’s outing, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles made two appearances this week. The royal couple thanked NHS staff members for their work in the fight against Covid-19 and also visited with French President Emmanuel Macron. That same day Prince William spoke with ambulance workers in Norfolk while Princess Anne has also resumed her royal duties as well.

This all comes after the royal family was criticized for taking longer than expected to start working again, just like the many European royals who have been doing so for the past month. With that said though, it doesn’t look like Queen Elizabeth will be seen in public for quite some time, mostly because of the risk factors that are associated with the virus. Some reports even say that the Queen’s calendar has been completely cleared until at least October.
