ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers say that fans from all over are asking the same question: show Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) be with her ex Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) or her current beau Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). Actor Valentin Cassadine weighs in on the matter. Here’s what he has to say.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, even James Patrick Stuart admits that for his character, it’s going to be an uphill battle for him if he ever expects to win over Nina Reeves again. But when it comes to who Nina belongs with, even the actor admits that he’s torn. After all, he even knows that Valentin did a poor job of treating Nina right.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Star James Patrick Stuart Weighs In On Valentin vs. Jax
He told the publication, “’General Hospital’ painted a picture of what was ultimately an abusive relationship and Nina finally said, ‘Enough is enough. She had a huge feelings for this man but knew she needed to get out and she did it. That’s heroic.”
James Patrick added, “In the real world, there are countless women not able to figure out their way out, so I was touched by that. So therefore, James is Team NinJa (as in Nina and Jax). That doesn’t mean that, dramatically, I’m not rooting for Val and Nina to get back together down the road. Because James is also not done playing with Cynthia!”
With that said, Port Charles is certainly a city where a lot of bad decisions are made and we have a feeling that as much as Nina should turn her back and walk away forever, she might still give Valentin a chance. That is, if Jax doesn’t swoop in and do something about it. Of course, General Hospital fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
