CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that Joshua Morrow, casted as Nicholas ‘Nick’ Newman in 1994, has been a familiar face on the show for over 25 years! Nick was relied on as being the handsome, rich, and selfish love interest of many women – however, he often could be found to the hip of either Sharon or Phyllis! Morrow, one of the most popular men on the show, has definitely given fans something to talk the last little while.
Over the past few years, we have seen a shift in Joshua Morrow’s character. Rumours have swirled that Morrow had demanded a character change in Nick, as he was craving a character more interesting than a dependable dad and (ex)husband of Sharon. Producers were quick to make Morrow’s character, Nick, a little bit edgier, more interesting, and even followed up with a few new sets for him! According to many soap opera news outlets, Morrow had put an end to the Nick and Sharon drama because it was getting a little bit too expected for viewers.

Phyllis, originally played by Michelle Stafford, has undergone some character shifts of her own. After Michelle Stafford exited the show, Phyllis’ role was replaced by Sharon More. The pair (Nick and Phyllis) seemed to have a tumultuous relationship that was eventually put to an end when Nick kicked Phyllis out of the house because of her immunity deal.

Following the breakup – that majority of Y&R fans supported – Michelle Stafford stepped back into the show in the role of Phyllis, and now fans are speculating! Though many fans didn’t seem to enjoy Joshua Morrow and Sharon More, there seems to be quite a stir with the prospect of Michelle Stafford coming back in. Many fans claim that the chemistry between Morrow and Stafford is more polarizing, and ultimately, more interesting. Does this mean that there’s might be a budding rekindling on the horizon? It looks as though Stafford has definitely owned her much-loved title as Phyllis.
We can’t help but wonder whether Genoa’s hottest male bachelor will reconnect with ex-wife after all of this time! Will Sharon and Nick’s romance really be dead for good?
