‘General Hospital’ spoilers pose the question: Should Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) come clean to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about shooting Ross Cullum (Andrew Hakwes)?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Rocco Admitted to Britt He Shot Cullum
Rocco finally reached his breaking point in the April 21st episode of GH and confessed the truth to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) that he shot Cullum.
GH fans know that Rocco has been doing community service at GH. Britt discovered Rocco was in Cullum’s hospital room, propping Cullum’s head with a pillow.
She promptly walked in and stopped their interaction to protect Rocco. What she didn’t anticipate was what would come next.
Britt escorted Rocco to the hospital chapel, where they could talk in private. After Britt warned him to stay away from Cullum, Rocco blurted out that he knew Cullum was dangerous because he was the one who shot him!
Rocco made a very heroic move to stop Cullum from killing Britt and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). However, Jason was extradited by the WSB and is off in prison, God knows where.
The only people who know that Rocco shot Cullum are Britt, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Breuning), and Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevy). Rocco has been bursting at the seams, trying to keep this secret, but he obviously trusted Britt enough to tell her the truth.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Rocco Is Keeping This Massive Secret from Dante
We all know that the truth will come out at some point, and Rocco may be able to avoid long-term trauma by confessing. He’s currently hiding the truth about the events that happened that night from his father, Dante.
It must be extremely stressful for Rocco to keep something this huge from his dad. Yet, if Dante, who is the police commisioner, finds out, it’s going to put him in an impossible situation.
That said, if everyone knows that Cullum is truly dangerous enough to come after Britt and Jason the way he did, it would undoubtedly lead to the truth being revealed about who really killed Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo).
That way, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) wouldn’t be blaming innocent parties, like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and potentially Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), for killing Marco.
Plus, it would shed light on the situation that led to Britt being knocked unconscious and Jason showing up on the pier. There would likely be an investigation into Cullum and Sidwell.
Yet, on the other hand, we also don’t exactly see Dante’s reaction as being a very good one. Dante is kind of a harda** when it comes to his kids.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Danny Needs His Father, Jason, who’s Covering for Rocco
Not only does he already sense that Lulu and Rocco are keeping something from him, but he won’t like it one bit that his son committed a crime.
Look at how Dante has treated Gio Palmeri (Giovanni). He was furious with the incident involving Rocco and Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) How would he react to learning that Rocco shot someone and the whole thing was covered up?
Plus, who knows about poor Britt and her life-sustaining medicine? Would she still have access to her medicine if not for Cullum? Sure, he’s using it to blackmail her, but she desperately needs it to survive.
Last, but definitely not least, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) is confused, scared, and angry that he may never see his father, Jason, again. He even asked Sonny if he could work for him in his mob organization.
Jason was sent away somewhere by the WSB, but he’s not guilty. If the truth is revealed, Jason could come home and be a father to Danny. However, could Danny forgive Rocco for letting his dad take the blame?
There are numerous variables involved in the circumstances surrounding Cullum’s shooting. While Rocco is genuinely tempted to come clean, is it the best decision for him? Or is keeping this secret only prolonging his trauma and inner anguish?
