‘General Hospital’ spoilers suggest that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) needs to abandon her mission to bring down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Joss Is Fine with Brick, and Jason’s Crimes But Sonny Is Different
Recently, Joss shared her true motives for joining the WSB with her mom, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). Joss told Carly she intends to put her former stepdad behind bars because of the mob life he leads.
So, Joss is apparently perfectly fine with going to Brick (Stephen A. Smith) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) for help, but when it comes to Sonny, he has somehow committed worse crimes than they have?
Joss doesn’t seem to realize that if she takes Sonny down, she also takes Jason down. Jason is Sonny’s right-hand man. The newly minted WSB super spy has no issue with Jason killing people, but Sonny is a “monster.”
Carly has warned her children repeatedly that if Sonny goes to prison, the entire family will be in danger. Longtime fans know that when Carly and Jason were “married,” they were almost blown to bits because they were in a very vulnerable position without Sonny.
Remember the whole mess between Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Sonny when Michael schemed to provide evidence to the FBI on Sonny?
Carly destroyed the recording that Michael and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) were responsible for and instead hired Dex to protect Sonny. That went well.
We understand that Joss and her family have been hit with tragedies due to the violence they were surrounded by, but for God’s sake, Josslyn, do your history homework.
Joss claimed that Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) was murdered because of Sonny. However, Morgan’s death had nothing to do with him.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Morgan Didn’t Die Because of Sonny, He Died Because of Ava, Olivia, and Julian Jerome
Morgan died because Ava Jerome (Maura West) switched Morgan’s bipolar medication with placebos, which led to him having a significant mental breakdown and he stole Julian Jerome’s (William deVry) car.
Julian’s car had a bomb in it thanks to Ava and Julian’s sister, Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker). Morgan was blown up because of Ava’s careless mistake and due to the unfortunate outcome of Olivia’s revenge on Julian.
It’s ridiculous that Joss continues to blame Sonny for Morgan’s death. Joss’s vendetta against Sonny is senseless. She doesn’t seem to understand that actions have consequences.
Michael has moved past his anger at Sonny. Joss doesn’t know how to let it go. Plus, last time we checked, her mother and Sonny are still divorced.
Carly’s life is no longer directly intertwined with Sonny’s, and everyone else has moved on except Joss. Besides, when Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) offered Joss the chance to join the WSB, she told him she wanted justice for Dex’s murder.
This was right after Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) killed Dex in the hospital. Joss shot and killed Cyrus. Granted, in the moment, she was forced to shoot him in self-defense.
Yet, we’re sure some of it had to do with avenging Dex’s death. We think Joss’s misguided hatred of Sonny has lasted far too long.
Regardless, Laura Wright and Eden McCoy were brilliant in the recent scene in which Carly and Joss had their epic mother-daughter showdown. McCoy has proven she’s every bit as formidable an actress as Wright. Both women knocked it out of the park.
