‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers confirm that soap newcomer Loreli Olivia Mote is assuming the role of Rachel Black after Alice Halsey’s exit from DOOL.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Mote’s First Airdate Is Tuesday, March 17th
Mote’s first airdate is set for Tuesday, March 17th. Mote has starred in notable TV shows and movies, including American Horror Stories and The Christmas Pageant Ever.
On the Days of Our Lives Instagram account, Mote shot off five fun facts about herself. The young ingenue is a competitive gymnast and accomplished actress who has been working since the age of 3.
She has a dog and a cat, and apparently, she’s not a fan of cheese. Like Halsey, Mote is adorable, and her catalog of work speaks for itself.
When Rachel Black was born in 2019, she was played by twin babies, Josephine and Rosalind May, as well as triplets, Kate, Miller, and Emma Kamienski.
Rachel was SORASED in October 2021. She was played by Finley Rose Slater. In April 2025, Alice Halsey took over the part, and knocked it out of the park.
Halsey was immediately thrust into a very meaty storyline as Rachel shot her uncle, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). The young actress did a masterful job portraying Rachel.
Not to mention, she was a tour de force in the Who Shot EJ, who dun it. Halsey was only on the Peacock soap for less than a year, but she made quite an impression.
Halsey’s final episode aired on March 5th, as she left the show to play Laura Ingalls Wilder in the Netflix reboot of Little House on the Prairie. She’s moved on to bigger and better things, as they say.
Now that the character is in Mote’s very capable hands, we are eager to see her jump into another juicy storyline for Rachel.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Will Mote’s Rachel Go Down the Right Path?
Rachel is currently in cahoots with troubled teen, Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd), whether she likes it or not. Sophia blackmailed her into giving Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) “skin supplements.”
However, these pills are actually Sophia’s psychotropic drugs she’s supposed to be taking at Bayview Sanitarium.
Rachel was also a patient in the same mental facility until recently, when Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) brought her home. Rachel definitely takes after her devious mother, Kristen.

Her father, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), disapproved of Kristen taking Rachel out of Bayview, but she’s going to receive intense outpatient treatment.
So now, the question remains: Will Rachel continue her troublemaking ways, or will she go down the right path and become more stable and balanced thanks to her therapy and treatment?
We have to wait and see how Mote plays Rachel. It’s going to be fun to watch her take the reins and make the character her own.
When Halsey left DOOL, she wrote an emotional message thanking her fans on Instagram,
“After shooting 56 episodes of Days of Our Lives in nine months, it was not easy to say goodbye to my friends in the cast and crew who had become like family. I will be forever grateful for the privilege to play such a fascinating, complicated character and to be a part of this epic story.”
Watch for the new Rachel Black, Loreli Olivia Mote’s debut on DOOL on March 17th!
