‘General Hospital’ spoilers suggest that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) may not know it, but she just poked the bear.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Maxie Took a Stand Against Sidwell’s Threats
While we’re very proud of Maxie for standing up to Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), she may have just unknowingly put herself in danger once again.
Sidwell is the man who caused Maxie to lapse into a coma in the first place. The poor girl was poisoned by Deception face cream and had a heart attack on live TV, which resulted in her falling into a coma for months.
Now that she’s finally awake, we sincerely hope that Sidwell doesn’t jeopardize Maxie’s health. In the February 27th episode of GH, Maxie, Sidwell, and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) had a meeting at Deception.
Sidwell had assumed that he would retain control of the cosmetic company, even though Maxie is now awake. However, Maxie aimed to disabuse him of that notion by telling him in no uncertain terms that he’s out.
In Maxie’s words, the two of them needed to “discuss Sidwell’s exit strategy from the company.” The look on Sidwell’s face was one of pure shock. He wasn’t expecting Maxie to
Sidwell countered that he “had no intention of walking away from Deception.” He also feigned concern that fighting him in court would tarnish the company’s reputation and, perhaps, her own recovery.
As Lucy and Sidwell left Maxie’s office, she warned him that their conversation wasn’t over. Maxie drew a clear line in the sand regarding Sidwell’s involvement in Deception.
Sidwell caused Deception’s sales to plummet, and he ultimately bailed out the company for his own illicit dealings.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Maxie Ended Up In a Coma Because of Sidwell
He wants control and leverage, as the purpose of his involvement with the company was to use it as a cover for his illegal operations. He even threatened to take her to court. Maxie isn’t having it.
She wants to be the one in control of Deception, and she’s not taking no for an answer. Given Sidwell’s willingness to use lethal force, as evidenced by his killing of Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) right in front of Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thieabud) Maxie may be playing with fire.
Maxie already ended up in a coma due to Sidwell’s machinations. Sidwell has also previously bragged about the compound he used silence Maxie, and we don’t think he’d be afraid to do it again.
Maxie needs to be warned that Sidwell is responsible for her heart attack and coma. Obviously, no one knows that right now, but at some point, someone could find out.
Right now, Britt may be the only one who can save her from another attempt on her life. If she discovers that Maxie may be in danger and that he killed someone in front of her.
Sidwell is ruthless, and his threat to Maxie may continue if she refuses to play ball. We have to wonder how far Sidwell will go to make sure he’s still a player at Deception.
Maxie may risk being another one of Sidwell’s casualties. We definitely don’t want Maxie to make the mistake of underestimating Sidwell. He’s a vey dangerous man.
Sidwell may even try to hurt Maxie again if she won’t cooperate. Hopefully, nothing happens to Maxie as a result of her strong disposition and issuing a hard no to one of the most dangerous criminals in Port Charles.
