‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers pose the question: Does Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) belong with sweet, stable Javi Hernandez (Al Caldeon) or with intense, passionate Dimitri Von Leuschner (Peter Porte)?
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Javi Gave Up on Leo Too Quickly
DOOL fans seem to be overwhelmingly in favor of Leo’s relationship with Javi. However, there are some major changes coming soon to DOOL.
One of those major changes includes a recast of Javi. We don’t know yet what the chemistry between the new Javi and Leo will be like, but it may not matter.
That said, Dimitri was supposedly held captive by Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) against his will in Alemania. The “Dear John” letter that Leo believed Dimitri wrote to him to break up with him was actually written by a vengeful Gwen.
Thanks to Gwen, Dimitri showed up out of the blue on Leo and Javi’s wedding night. That’s when he finally had the chance to explain that he’d never wanted to be away from him, and that he’d never written that letter.
Javi, who pretty much handed Leo over to Dimitri right then and there, basically went, “Well, your ex is here, Leo, meh, I give up.”
Dimitri is admittedly very, very hot. He may even be male model material, but Javi is also hot and a good person. Truthfully, it doesn’t exactly seem like Leo is torn between the two men.
Since Javi left Salem, Dimitri has taken every opportunity possible to throw himself at Leo. Leo deserves all the credit in the world for resisting the lust-fueled temptation that Dimitri represents.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Dimitri Represents Significant Temptation
Dimitri even followed Leo to his hotel room, proceeded to strip down, removing his shirt and pants, and jumping eagerly onto Leo’s bed.
He dared Leo to prove that he had “zero interest in him,” and Leo responded by promptly leaving his own room, leaving Dimitri practically naked on the bed, looking like a desperate fool.
We know that Leo loves Javi. He has told Dimitri that Javi has helped Leo become a better person. However, he’s still being judged harshly by Javi’s loved ones, who without hesitation, blame Leo for breaking Javi’s heart.
Yet it was Javi who, literally moments after Dimitri arrived in Salem, suddenly decided that the marriage vows he and Leo had just recited meant nothing, and told Leo he needed to “figure out his feelings for Dimitri.” Leo was understandably shocked by Javi’s reaction.
It should have been clear to Javi that Leo chose him. Leo still loves Javi, but Javi has already written Leo off. Not to mention, when Leo went to visit Dimitri at the DiMera mansion (after Javi insisted that he go), it was Dimitri who kissed Leo, not the other way around.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Leo Deserves His Happily Ever After
Leo started to fall into the kiss, but stopped himself. Dimitri couldn’t wait to rub the kiss he stole from Leo in Javi’s face. In fact, he embellished Leo’s level of involvement and claimed that Leo had “kissed him back passionately.”
Instead of Javi actually talking it through with Leo, Javi assumed the worst about his new would -be hubby. Javi was upset because Leo didn’t come to him directly to be honest with him about the one-sided smooch.
We couldn’t exactly blame Leo if he did actually decide to really “get Dimitri out of his system,” considering that it was Javi who suddenly couldn’t be with Leo anymore. However, Leo has remained true to his marriage vows, despite Javi not doing so.
Javi and his family don’t seem to have any faith in Leo now that Dimitri is around. No one gave Leo the opportunity to prove he’s committed to the man he pledged his heart to.
For Leo, Javi is a deep, enduring love. He represents a healthier, more supportive future for Leo. Javi was the future that Leo deserved. It’s a shame Javi gave up before he had a chance to enjoy a happily-ever-after with Leo. Maybe Leo simply deserves better than both of them.
