‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) are about to go to war.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Gwen Set Dimitri Free to Ruin Leo and Javi’s Wedding
Fans know that Dimitri slept with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) while married to Gwen. Gwen insists that she married Dimitri for love, and Dimitri admits that he was only her husband to get his hands on his inheritance.
No one messes with Gwen Rizczech and gets away with it. For revenge, Gwen teamed up with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and kidnapped Dimitri.
Up until last week he was in Alamainia. Meanwhile, Gwen took it upon herself to claim Dimitri’s inheritance and has spent most of his money.
Gwen wanted revenge on Leo and decided to forge a ‘Dear John’ letter to send to Leo. In that letter, Dimitri explained that he had met someone else while in prison and had broken up with him.
Yet, Leo has come to find out that Gwen was behind the letter, and on the night he married Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) to boot.
Gwen set Dimitri free and expected him to show up before Leo and Javi said their “I do’s,” but that didn’t happen. Dimtri arrived shortly after their wedding.
Leo was shocked by all this, and Leo and Javi spent their wedding night separately, both pining for each other.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The Long-Awaited Showdown Between Gwen and Dimitri
Javi had told Leo he needed to figure out how he felt about Dimitri before they could start a life together. He practically pushed Leo into Dimitri’s arms. It was painful to watch.
Elsewhere, we were treated to the long-awaited showdown between Gwen and Dimitri. Dimitri wants a divorce, but Gwen plans to contest the divorce and take him for all he’s worth.
While Gwen reminded Dimitri that he could only have his inheritance if he were married to a woman, Dimitri retorted that there was nothing was in the terms of the codicil that said he must stay married.
We have to wonder if he’s telling the truth about that. While it was somewhat satisfying to watch Gwen take Dimitri’s inheritance after he cheated on her with her BFF, it hasn’t been much fun watching her destroy Leo’s life.
Gwen had already gotten her revenge on Leo when she wrote the fake letter to Leo pretending to be Dimitri. She got her revenge on Dimitri as well.
It seems a bit excessive for Gwen to seek retribution against Leo by ruining his wedding and bringing Dimitri back just to cause trouble in Leo and Javi’s relationship.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Javi Is Making a Mistake By Pushing Leo Away and Letting Gwen Win
At this point, Gwen is simply being petty and immature. She pretended to forgive Leo so that she could blindside him and make him feel the way he made her feel.
However, karma is going to come back around on Gwen, seeing as how she’s doubling down on the pain she’s inflicted on Leo. She’s obviously never heard the phrase, “Living well is the best revenge.”
When it comes to Dimitri vs. Gwen, it might benefit both parties to split the inheritance. That way, they can finally be free of each other and get their divorce.
Hopefully, Javi gets his sh** together and realizes that Leo loves him and only him. Otherwise, he’ll drive Leo away, and Gwen wins. Why is he handing Leo over to Dimitri without a fight?
Gwen was starting to become likable, but the incessant need to punish Leo has officially gone too far. Admittedly, Leo was in the wrong when he slept with her husband.
Yet, as mentioned before, Gwen already hurt Leo with that letter and took Dimitri’s inheritance. While it was fun watching her become Gwen von Leuschner; she could use a lesson in the power of forgiveness.
Leo is a different man now. Personally, I don’t believe he deserves to lose Javi. Besides, there is such a thing as dipping your hand in the cookie jar one too many times, and that’s basically what Gwen has done. Karma is not on her side.
While Leo has changed for the better, Gwen has proven herself just as petty and vindictive as she always was. She needs to move on with her life. I am definitely team Leo.
