Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have lost their 11th publicist in five years and have been accused of being “difficult to work for.”
Meredith Maines Worked for Several Prominent Companies
Meredith Maines, who served as the Sussexes’ chief communications officer, has announced she is stepping down from her role after only one year.
Maines said in a statement,
“After a year of inspiring work with Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Archewell, I will be pursuing a new opportunity in 2026.”
She continued,
“I have the utmost gratitude and respect for the couple and the team, and the good they are doing in the world.”
Harry and Meghan have also parted ways with PR firm Method Communications after only seven months. The pair has a pattern of losing those who work for them.
Meredith Maines worked for prominent companies like Google, Hulu, and America’s Got Talent. Meghan appears to control much of their media footprint, and it’s obvious that people don’t want to work with them.
It damages the PR firm’s reputation when they work with the Sussexes. A previous employee had blabbed to the press about Harry and Meghan, claiming they aren’t good people.
The consistently unpleasant experiences of the people who work for them speaks for themselves, as does the revolving door of staff.
The high-profile professional had also been in the middle of a controversy s**t storm this past summer after being spotted meeting with King Charles’ communications secretary, Tobyn Andrae, in London to orchestrate a “peace summit.”
Meghan doesn’t seem to understand that she needs to work hard and accomplish things, but everything about the pair is toxic, and they countless poor decisions.
Harry and Meghan Have Been Accused of Bullying Their Staff
Meredith is a high-powered professional, and the Sussexes are perpetually alienating people who can actually help them.
Maine’s exit follows the departure of Harry and Meghan’s director of communications, Emily Robinson. A source close to Robinson said that she never quits, and that
“things must have been pretty horrible for her to go.”
Numerous PR disasters, reports of bullying, poor decisions, and inconsistency all contribute to why people are always walking away from Harry and Meghan.

There is likely also financial trouble behind the scenes, as none of Meghan’s abysmal projects have been even remotely successful.
Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, is a mess, and her Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan” is performing poorly as well. She had a small cache of products, which are now unmoving.
She could have had a massively successful brand, but she doesn’t know the first thing about how to manage a business. As Ever is overly expensive for mediocre products.
Ms. Maines oversaw the departure of six members of their staff in June alone. The pair takes no responsibility for their actions.
We suspect that with all of Meredith’s experience, she couldn’t fix the mess the Sussexes made. It’s likely more Meghan than Prince Harry. Several sources have described Harry as “charming” and “likable.”
However, a source said this of Meghan,
“She walks around like a dictator in high heels. I’ve watched her reduce grown men to tears.”
Some sources claim Ms. Maines had been enduring a “difficult time” as the couple’s chief communications officer prior to the announcement of her hasty exit.
