Meghan Markle received a chilly reception at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles gala last weekend. At the same time, her husband, Prince Harry, was warmly welcomed at the WellChild Awards, one of the few charity patronages he kept after he left Britain.
Harry Was Thrilled To Meet Children At WellChild Charity Event
Harry was thrilled to meet the children and hand out awards as he met and spoke with children battling serious illnesses.
Royal experts said he was in his element during his quasi-royal tour the past couple of weeks without Meghan, and there is speculation that their marriage may be in trouble.
There is now also talk that Meghan isn’t too happy that people like Harry and not her. For weeks, the bullying allegations have been like a dark cloud hanging over the Duchess’s head.
After being called a “dictator in high heels” and being accused of making grown men weep, the PR narrative isn’t exactly favorable.
If the past two weeks without Meghan have proven anything, Harry never really wanted to move to the US and become a “celebrity” when he was born to be a royal.
The Duke has contacted royal aides to salvage his role in the royal family. It’s clear Harry wants to devote his time to causes he believes in, such as his Sentable charity he helped set up in Africa.
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle is desperate to seem as likable as Harry. When Meghan was at the CHLA, she was all over the place and was acting weird.
She was holding hands with Kelly McKee Zajfen to make it look like she was friendly and approachable. Meghan also made an odd comment about how all her friends’ kids are receiving treatment at this hospital.
Meghan Markle Stayed At CHLA For A Very Brief Time
She was obviously trying to benefit from the PR she believed would suddenly improve based on her brief appearance at the charity.
She went to a sick children’s charity event to try to repair her reputation. In reality, she looked like a desperate D-list actress using sick children to boost her public image.
In contrast, Harry, while at the WellChild Awards. He clearly demonstrated that his interaction with the kids and their families was genuine. He truly cares for them.
Meghan Markle literally went to CHLA, briefly spoke with a couple of nurses, talked to one or two families, took some very awkward pictures, and then left.
There was also talk about Meghan’s dress. She wore an altered red dress, which she wore in a November 2021 appearance at the Annual Salute to Freedom Gala.
She had the dress altered to make it more figure-hugging. A picture on Harry and Meghan’s website shows her kneeling down to talk to a child, as she appears to be flashing the little girl. The split in her gown was also a poor choice.
Whatever Meghan’s intentions, she’s working overtime to ensure everyone sees how “relatable” she is. The bullying allegations are her glaring issue, and she’s trying to do damage control at this event.
Meghan Markle once again failed to do the hard work of changing her behavior behind closed doors. This could help her generate positive PR.
