‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Valentin Warned Carly Targeting Jack Could Be Dangerous
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) gave Carly fair warning that a scorned Jack wouldn’t hesitate to strike back.
So far, Carly has managed to pretend she’s moving forward in her relationship with Brennan, but he can definitely sense that something is off between them.
Carly is committed to making Jack pay for recruiting her daughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), into the WSB. He also lied to her face and told her he would immediately tell her if her daughter was in danger.
She’s potentially gambling with her life and the life of her daughter by deceiving Jack Brennan. He’s a very powerful man, the head of the WSB, and he could easily end her if he wanted to.
Luckily for Carly, Jack is super into her and may even love her. However, we have to wonder whether Carly’s plot to take down Brennan could end in disaster if or when he finds out she’s in cahoots with Valentin.
Carly is basically committing treason. Valentin has an incentive to want to eviscerate Jack and has even tried to kill him, so he’s all in with Carly when it comes to her revenge scheme.
In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, McKenna spoke about the turmoil brewing between Carly and Jack. The handsome actor pointed out that while Jack definitely shouldn’t have lied to Carly, she’s now “engaging in actions that are against the nation!”
McKenna also noted that Carly is “navigating treacherous waters.” Based on McKenna’s emphasis on Carly’s treason, could she end up regretting making moves against the head of a prominent government spy organization?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Fans Love Carly Playing the Long Game with Brennan
We think she might. However, fans are loving Carly playing the long game with Brennan. Instead of lashing out, like Carly typically does, she’s decided to pursue revenge against her lover. It’s juicy and soapy, and we are eagerly anticipating the fallout.
Plus, we have to consider Joss’s WSB career. Could Carly setting up Brennan lead to Joss being booted from the WSB?
Joss made it clear that she believes in making sure that justice is served. If Carly somehow gets in the way of that, Joss might not thank her mother for interfering.
What we do know from Valentin’s warning is that Carly is risking a lot to seek revenge on Jack. Valentin cautioned her: “Pretend that you love him more than anything.”
So far, Carly has had some trouble in doing that. Yes, she was intimate with the man in his hotel room, but he suspects there is still distance between them.
It’s entirely possible that Carly could face arrest due to her treasonous actions. Yet, we all know that either the pull of Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) power, or the devotion of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will likely step in to save her.
When it comes to her kids, Carly doesn’t play. She opened up to Brennan a long time ago about the pain of losing her late son, Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig).
What did he do? He turned around and put her daughter’s life in danger. Carly will persist in her quest for revenge against Jack. Unfortunately, it could all blow up in her face!
