‘General Hospital’ spoilers suggest that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) could easily ruin Josslyn Jack’s (Eden McCoy) WSB career.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Joss Has Become More Interesting As A Spy
While we adore Carly, she doesn’t understand that Joss made a conscious choice to live her life differently and become a secret agent.
Joss has become much more interesting and multi-layered as a spy, and we really don’t see her going back to simply being an environmental science major.
Yes, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) lied to Carly, but is she insinuating herself into a situation where she thinks she’s protecting her kid, only to make her own choice for Joss instead?
Joss has some valuable skills that the WSB has put to use. Perhaps Jack coerced her with various tests and lured her to Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) cabin, but it was still Joss’s choice.
That said, Joss really had no choice but to kill Cyrus, who was coming at her with an axe. She killed Cyrus in self-defense.
She probably would have had the law on her side had she told the truth. Joss broke into Cyrus’s cabin, but it was a kill-or-be-killed situation.
Jack urged her to join the WSB because he saw something special in her that he wanted to exploit for the organization.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Carly Could Blow Up Both Brennan And Joss’s Careers
Yet Joss could have easily told him a swift no, thank you, and taken her chances with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), who would have understood Joss’s need to confront Cyrus for Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) murder.
If Carly blows up Brennan’s own career, she could also be destroying Joss’s WSB dreams in the process. Clearly, Joss enjoys what she does, and she has a thirst for justice.
We can also imagine that life as a spy can be an enticing profession. Anna can understand Joss’s desire to “save the world” and seek justice better than anyone.
Anna was once deep into the WSB, but she’s now the police commissioner. In the October 28th episode of GH, Anna and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) planned to intercept Joss and Brennan’s professional relationship.
They aim to get Josslyn out from under Jack’s thumb, which would possibly lead to less dangerous work. Yet no one has asked Joss, who’s an adult, what she wants.
Another possibility is that Jack learns Carly knows he recruited Josslyn and, in a misguided attempt to salvage his relationship with Carly, gives Joss the boot.
We also have to admit we really enjoyed “CarJack” and had fun seeing Carly happy with someone who wasn’t Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) or Jason.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Joss Could Come To Resent Her Mom And Jason For Interfering
Carly and Jack had a special spark that we knew would come to an end once Carly discovered the truth.
As far as Joss goes, Carly should have been honest with her that she knows what Joss is really up to. Carly knows Joss really values her WSB career, as she told her as much without really admitting anything.
Under the circumstances, the more people who know that Joss is an agent, the more danger she’s in.
Joss could come to resent her mom if she takes steps to pull her out of the organization and if Jason and Anna succeed in getting Joss away from Jack.
The other issue here is that Jason also made his own choice back in the day, to work for Sonny, and Carly supported it.
We’re almost surprised it was Jason who spilled to Carly since he understands what it’s like to want to carve your own path.
We’re unsure, in the end, whether Joss will be thankful to her mother and godfather for their interference, even if they are protecting her out of love.
