‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers wonder if Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) really needed to break Cat Greene’s (AnnaLynn McCord) heart and split with her.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The Hortons Tend To Be Judgmental And Self-Righteous
We know that Chad ultimately broke up with Cat because Thomas DiMera (Cary Christoper) basically demanded he dump her after bratty Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) told him what Cat had done.
Chad’s family obviously disapproves of Cat since she impersonated Chad’s late wife, Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller). We totally get it.

However, the Hortons tend to be a tad on the judgmental and self-righteous side. No one should be dictating to Chad with whom he falls in love. After all, the heart wants what it wants.
Yet, we’ve had to endure Jennifer Horton Deveraux’s (Melissa Reeves) endless tirades over Cat and how she can’t believe Chad would even give Cat a chance.

Truthfully, Jen really needs to let Chad live his life. Jen has forgiven other characters for much worse, (Hello Jennifer, your husband raped Kayla).
Seriously, Jen has forgiven Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) for some pretty heinous stuff in the past. It’s just one example of the hypocritical nature that the Horton family seems to possess.
Additionally, it’s pretty ridiculous that Jennifer doesn’t understand there were extenuating circumstances and that Cat was forced to pretend to be Abigail.

Again, Jennifer isn’t even open to the idea of forgiveness. She doesn’t need to be Cat’s biggest fan or embrace her with a warm and fuzzy hug, but frankly, it’s none of her business who Chad chooses to spend his time with.
Not to mention, Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), who also refuses to accept Chad’s choice to be with Cat.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The Split Is Unfair To Both Chad And Cat
We all know what Cat did to Chad and his family was beyond wrong, and Cat has spent a lot of time trying to make up for that mistake.
It’s the first time in years that Chad has romantic feelings for a woman. He’s eager to take the first step in moving on from his late wife.

It’s been refreshing to see Chad care for a new woman rather than pine for Abigail. Chad is a sweet and handsome guy who has every right to move forward with whom he sees fit.
Jennifer has been meddling in Chad’s love life ever since she discovered that Chad went on that skydiving date with Cat.
We don’t know why Chad gave up on his relationship with Cat so quickly. The pair had been hiding their romance for weeks and keeping it a secret from his family.

We don’t understand how Chad could simply let Cat go, especially when they were just heating up. The soap teased them as a couple for months, and as soon as they finally gave in to their passion, the writers pulled the plug on them.
Chad wants to make Thomas happy, which is admirable, but he could also have seized the opportunity to make this a teaching moment for Thomas and show him the value of forgiveness.
Chad admitted to Cat that he hasn’t felt this way about someone since Abigail died. We can tell by the way he looks at her that he’s telling the truth.
We don’t really need to see Chad mourn his late wife any longer. Abigail will always be in his heart, but it’s time for him to move forward.
It’s a shame Chad and Cat ended their relationship so prematurely, but we hope that in the end, Chad realizes the special connection he has with Cat and tries again.
