General Hospital spoilers suggest that Giovanni Palmeri (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma Scoprio Drake (Braedyn Bruner) are adorable together and are the cutest couple with the most potential on GH right now.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Gio And Emma Are A Slow-Burn Teenage Love Story
Gio and Emma are definitely a slow-burn type of teenage love story, and we haven’t been this refreshed and intrigued by a possible pairing since Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) heroically rescued Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) from Ferncliff asylum.
While that “couple” obviously didn’t work out, since we found out they are actually first cousins, which was a major mistake on GH’s part, we have high hopes for Gio and Emma.
Emma provided Gio with some much-needed support when he discovered the truth about his birth parents, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
Now, Gio is comforting Emma, who’s devastated about Maxie Jones’s (Kirsten Storms) heart attack. Soap Opera Digest recently spoke with Giovanni Mazza about his character’s close bond with Emma.
Giovanni and Braedyn are also close in real life as well, which explains why their on-screen chemistry is so natural and endearing.
Mazza told the outlet, “I’m so glad that the fans are picking up on our connection.” Soap Opera Digest asked why the two of them have such an easy connection. He responded, “Opposites attract, right? And I think we’re not afraid of each other.”
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Gio And Emma Have Each Other’s Backs
The actor also explained,
“It’s very subtle, but I think Gio and Emma aren’t afraid of saying something that’s going to hurt the other person.”
He continued,
“Like in the beginning, when Emma was doing things, she probably shouldn’t have been doing, Gio was the first one to say to Emma, ‘You shouldn’t be stealing other people’s wallets, or ‘You shouldn’t be stealing other people’s phones.’ And I think she respected that.”
There isn’t anyone else’s relationship on the soap that feels more real. The emotional depth between them is evident, and they also have each other’s backs.
Their close friendship could easily develop into something more. Gio and Emma have true super couple potential.
Gio is never afraid to give Emma his honest opinion, which he’s done on more than one occasion. Even if he’s reluctant about her plans, he’s first in line to support her.
Gio even offered to break into Professor Henry Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) research lab because he knows that animal rights is a cause close to her heart.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Emma, Gio, and Outback Were An Irresistible Team
Emma and Gio were also adorable with the precious new four-legged addition to the GH cast. Gio, Emma, and the lovable beagle, Outback, made quite the fun team.
The snaps Emma took of Gio and Outback together at the park were irresistible. Outback’s antics were a comic relief and a treat to watch.
Unfortunately, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has a “no pets allowed” policy in the building where they live, and the police commissioner ran into some trouble.
Outback recently found a home with Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Breuning) and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr). We’ll see how that works out.
Off camera, Bruner and Mazza are also tight. Mazza shared that he and Bruner have become “best friends.” Mazza recently celebrated his birthday, and Bruner was with him for all the festivities.
Soap Opera Digest posed the question to Mazza: When are Gio and Emma going to admit they have feelings for each other that go beyond friendship?
Mazza answered,
“I haven’t gotten a script where I confess my love or have kissed her yet, but she has an undeniable presence in my heart, whether it be as friends or more.”
