Meghan Markle has lost her opportunity to be honored as the LA Natural History Museum cancels woke gala amid LA riots.
Guests paid a minimum of $1,500 to watch Meghan deliver a speech at Saturday Night’s Wonder Ball at the museum.
Meghan’s Gala Was Canceled Due To Violence In The Streets
Due to the violence that erupted in the streets, Chief Advancement Officer Paul Bessire contacted the attendees. He reached out to confirm that organizers had decided to postpone the black-tie shindig.
The cancellation is no doubt a significant disappointment to the Duchess of Sussex, who desperately needs some positive PR right now.
Her businesses are struggling, and none of her projects have been successful. Meghan was due to be recognized for her.
“work to advance community wellbeing and expand opportunity, especially for underserved communities.”
The museum in Expedition Park had promised an enchanted garden complete with elaborate exhibits, live music, and a lavish banquet dinner.
Organizers described the planned events of the evening:
“Imagine an enchanting night under a canopy of twinkling lights that reflects the breathtaking beauty of LA’s coastal chaparral, oak forests, and surrounding dramatic mountain ranges.”
Promises of thought-provoking presentations and live music were expected to commence as the gala would
“Ignite a sense of wonder and appreciation for the incredible local flora and fauna that surrounds us,”
They claimed.
That’s quite a pretty picture to paint amidst the LA riots and violence that is happening right now. Well, over a hundred people have been arrested. Five officers were hurt in the violence that started as protests over ICE raids targeting undocumented immigrants.
The Museum Director Shared A Glowing Press Release Calling Meghan A “Success Story”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been increasing their joint public appearances, attending concerts and other events. They recently took Archie and Lilibet on a trip to Disneyland to celebrate Lilibet’s fourth birthday.
The news also comes on the heels of Meghan announcing that her As Ever brand will include hotels and restaurants and incorporate recipes and dishes featured on her Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan.” We must say, Meghan’s miscellaneous ‘As Ever’ offerings serve only as proof that her brand is in chaos.
The Museum Director, who plans to honor Meghan, praised the Duchess for her philanthropic endeavors and her status as a “success story” in a glowing press release announcing the gala.
“We are proud to honor Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, a native Angeleno, whose work to advance community wellbeing and expand opportunity, especially for underserved communities, aligns with our equity-focused approach to developing science literacy for the next generation,”
The Director of the Museum said.
We don’t know if Prince Harry was also planning to attend the event. Still, in addition to being seen out and about together, they have also altered their brand strategy. This is a failed attempt to generate positive PR for themselves and attend some events separately.
Cocktail attire is required, and hopefully, when the event does take place, Meghan doesn’t decide to wear that shockingly hideous red Caroline Herrera dress again.
The Night of Wonder Ball was supposed to be held on June 14th, the same day as Trooping the Color, which is King Charles’s official birthday.
