‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Ava Jerome (Maura West) may soon lose her leverage over Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Has Alexis Truly Gained The Upper Hand?
We are still rolling our eyes over Alexis, who is giving in to Ava’s blackmail scheme. Ava went to Alexis with proof that Kristina tried to kill her as she mistakenly cut the brakes on Ric’s car, believing the vehicle belonged to Ava.
The gallery owner, Ava, demanded that Alexis embezzle money from the Cassadine estate to give to her, or she would go to the police with the footage of Kristina’s foolish actions.
It should come as a surprise to no one that Alexis made the decision to cover up Kristina’s crime and agreed to steal money from little Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) so that Kristina didn’t have to take responsibility for her actions.
Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) tried to convince Alexis that the best way to ensure that Kristina wouldn’t get jail time was to have her committed to a mental facility.
Of course, Alexis didn’t do that, and here we are. Ava is holding this leverage over Alexis and Kristina. In the May 14th episode of GH, Alexis tasked Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) with locating Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) totaled car as she believed the lot was paid off to lie and wanted Spinelli to expose if any tow trucks picked it up.
Spinelli did what Spinelli does best: he found the smoking gun, and as it turned out, Ava hired a tow truck to pick it up and store it at a secret location.
With that in mind, has Alexis truly gained the upper hand? Even though her discovery proves that foul play is involved, is it really worth it for her to go up against Ava Jerome?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Kristina Should Be Able To Figure It Out
Besides, will the information change anything? Will it be enough to stop Kristina from any legal trouble that might be coming her way? If Alexis goes to Ava with this, will it really sway Ava to stop blackmailing her? There are too many questions and not enough answers.
Alexis just got her law license back a year ago, and now she’s concealing Kristina’s crime. Saying that she could get into serious trouble is a staggering understatement.
Alexis knows that continuing to steal money from the Cassadine estate to buy off Ava’s silence can’t last forever.
Realistically, if Alexis doesn’t get Kristina the help she needs, how will she heal from the trauma of losing her baby and then losing her sister, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco)?
When Kristina was talking to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), she acted like she had no idea why her mom would want to have her committed.
While Kristina is unaware of Alexis’s knowledge of her tampering with Ric’s brakes, it is not a huge leap for her to think that maybe her mom might know something.
Loving, caring mothers don’t just commit their child to a mental institution for no good reason, especially when they also never make their child pay for their mistakes.
Kristina should be able to deduce that her mother must know something, unless she’s in total denial that she did anything wrong, which is entirely possible. It doesn’t make sense otherwise.
Alexis is desperate to protect her daughter, and she’s not thinking clearly. Kristina still doesn’t get it. In the end, we have a feeling that smart, cunning Ava will come out on top.
