‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) may betray Ava Jerome (Maura West) and blow up the art gallery owner’s blackmail scheme to kingdom come.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Alexis Almost Did What Was Best For Kristina
After Ava obtained proof that Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) sabotaged Ric’s car, thinking it was Ava’s, she went straight to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to deliver a stern warning.
Ava demanded that Alexis extort money from the Cassadine fortune and quietly give her a huge payday, or else she would take the video of Kristina cutting the brakes to Ric’s car to the police.
After all, Kristina almost killed Ric and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), and it was the least Alexis could do. For a fleeting moment, Alexis was going to do what was best for Kristina and get her the help she needed, which meant having her go to a mental institution for a period of time.
Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) urged her good friend and partner to make that difficult decision for her daughter’s sake. However, in the end, Alexis couldn’t go through with it, so she agreed to Ava’s terms.
Ric not only knows that Kristina’s careless, impulsive actions almost killed him, but he’s also on board with Ava blackmailing Alexis. He has agreed to keep the secret, as long as he’s handsomely compensated, of course.
The only caveat for Ric, he doesn’t get to tell his daughter, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), that Kristina was the reason he almost perished.
Ric has never been fond of Kristina. He considers her the selfish, dysfunctional result of Alexis’s past relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), the brother whom he despises.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ric’s Honesty Would Make Ava’s Funds Disappear
In addition to that, Alexis has to lie to both Molly and Kristina. However, spoilers hint that Alexis will soon have an honest conversation with Kristina and explain to her why she was planning on having her committed.
It seems that everyone is keeping Molly in the dark about what really went down. Molly would understand Ric not telling her about Kristina’s involvement in his near-fatal accident.
However, if he didn’t come clean to Molly about Ava blackmailing her mother, Molly would be livid. Ava coerced Ric into keeping quiet in exchange for a cut of the money. However, it’s taking all the self-restraint Ric can muster not to be truthful with Molly about her sister’s insane actions.
Last week, Ric admitted to Alexis he was very tempted to tell Molly. She deserves to know the kind of person Kristina really is.
Ultimately, we can see him betraying Ava. Not to mention his desire to show Molly that Alexis will always choose Kristina over Molly.
Ric believes Alexis coddles Kristina, and she never takes responsibility. He would love nothing more than to see Kristina go to prison for attempted murder.
That being said, Ric doesn’t necessarily want to stop sleeping with Ava. However, Ric’s heart will always be with Elizabeth, which was blatantly obvious the day Ric left Ava’s place with Liz.
Unfortunately for Ava, the revelation would instantly make her funds disappear. It would be a shame to see that happen, considering a broke, down-and-out Ava isn’t as much fun.
