Prince William and Kate Middelton celebrated Easter Sunday with her side of the family instead of the royal family, which marks a break with royal tradition.

The Middletons live a short distance away from Prince William and Kate’s home. They make it a point to stay close to the family and spoil their grandkids.

William, Kate, And Their Children Spent The Holiday In Norfolk

The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, went to Sandringham to spend the holiday at their country home in Norfolk. At the same time, King Charles, Queen Camilla, and several other members of the royal family attended the Easter Matins Service at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

    William and Kate Easter 2025

William and Kate’s kids were given hot cross buns to commemorate Easter. In addition to the tasty pastries, Sandringham Estate had an Easter Egg Trail, which is held annually.

It is a hunt where hidden clues are left around the Royal Parkland, and chocolate eggs are at the end of the trail, which Kinnerton Confectionery provides.

The Easter Egg trail donates to East Anglian Air Ambulance, for whom Prince William functioned between 2015 and 2017.

William, Kate, and their children attended church on Sunday with her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton. They went to St. Mary Magdelene’s Church in Sandringham, where the royal family traditionally attends Christmas service.

The crowds were waiting to snap pictures of the royal couple and their family. However, they were able to get into the building without having to contend with the paparazzi.

    Kate’s Easter Outfits Never Disappoint

For Easter this year, Kate wore a long camel coat and a stylish brown hat. Princess Kate’s Easter outfits never disappoint, and she always manages to make an impression.

On Easter in 2023, she wore a stunning royal blue coat and dress designed by Catherine Walker and a matching hat. Her nails were a bright red shade, which defied royal etiquette.

The late Queen frowned upon bold, brightly colored nails during public appearances. On Easter in 2022, she wore a powder blue ensemble designed by Emilia Wickstead, and her style ‘twin’, Princess Charlotte, also wore powder blue.

Last year, Kate missed Easter Matins’ Service as she was recovering from cancer treatment. Fortunately, in September, she announced that she’s cancer-free.

King Charles’ Easter Message Was About “The Paradox Of Human Life”

Back at Windsor Castle, the King and other members of the royal family enjoyed their Easter service.

Attending church at St. George’s Chapel this Easter were Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson; Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence. The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and Edward’s son, James, Earl of Wessex, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and their husbands also attended.

The King was in good spirits after delivering his Easter message. Charles and Camilla marked Maundy Thursday by paying tribute to World War II heroes and The Queen Mother.

Charles and Camilla went on a walkabout outside the Chapel and greeted royal fans. He was touched to meet a Corgi named after his beloved mother. Lilibet was outside the church, and he couldn’t resist stopping to meet her.

For this year’s Easter message, the King reflected on “the paradox of human life,” which is humanity being capable of both great acts of cruelty and incredible acts of kindness. The King noted that the Easter story is the perfect example of that.
