Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have arrived in Canada for the 2025 Invictus Games, which starts today. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will delight in a “rock star” stay at a five-star hotel in Vancouver. The hotel is rated as the most luxurious in British Columbia.
Meghan’s Priority Is To Support Harry And Uplift The Competitors
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will delight in a “rock star” stay at a five-star hotel in Vancouver. The hotel is rated as the most luxurious in British Columbia.
The couple’s suite has a private elevator and rooftop patio, including a private gazebo with a meditation pond and fire pit.
The pair flew on a private jet from Santa Barbara airport. They then traveled in a three-car convoy with their bodyguard, former Secret Service agent Chris Sanchez. The hotel also boasts a Swarovski crystal chandelier hanging from the living space.
There is also a wet bar, a master bedroom with a fireplace, a king-size bed, and a spacious tub. Interestingly, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle require a private jet and these lavish accommodations when the focus is supposed to be on the veterans.
Meghan’s main priority at the Games will be to support Harry and uplift the competitors. The Sussexes will spend three nights in Vancouver before leaving to travel to Whistler for the adaptive winter sports part of the competition.
The nine-day sporting event will have over 500 competitors from twenty-three countries, and the opening ceremony will start tonight.
From today until February 16th, athletes will participate in the games, playing indoor rowing, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair rugby, and wheelchair basketball.
This year, the Invictus Games added new winter sports: Nordic skiing and biathlon, wheelchair curling, skeleton, and Alpine skiing and snowboarding.
At tonight’s opening ceremony, Harry has some entertainment lined up. Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Nelly Furtado, and Katy Perry are all set to perform.
Meghan Gave A Speech And Told The Audience She Feels “At Home”
Harry and Meghan will also make an appearance together at the event. Today, Meghan gave a speech and shared with the audience that she feels “at home” in Canada, which sounded fake and contrived.
She also praised Harry for his hard work in the event and for helping disabled veterans. Meghan talked more about herself and Harry than she did about the competitors.
The Duchess also talked about how they told their children, Archie and Lilibet, about the games and how important the competition is to their family.
She went on to tell the veterans that they, too, were her husband’s “family.”
“It means so much to him,”
She beamed.
“You are his family just as we are his family. And I hope you recognize how much of his heart he has poured into every single beat that has gotten all of you to this week; that’s going to be spectacular.”
Meghan explained that Harry would also participate in the sports games, which she claimed she would “never do” to show support for those participating in the tournament. Her fakeness and disingenuousness showed in her ridiculous stories and her claiming she felt “at home” in Vancouver.
Meghan lived in Toronto when she was shooting the show, “Suits,” where she played pretty paralegal Rachel Zane. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also made their first appearance as a twosome at the 2017 Invictus Games, held in Toronto.
The Royal British Legion describes the Invictus Games’ goal as
“to inspire recovery, support, rehabilitation, and generate a wider understanding and respect for those who have served their country.”
