First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Sam died after having some sudden complication. Which rumors suggest might be tied to a tampered IV. Poor Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was in the room when the crisis happened.
On Thursday, October 31, she’ll get the news Sam didn’t make it, and she won’t take it well. And we’re sure it’ll be even worse when/if Alexis is the one to break the news to her other daughters. After all, the last time all of them were together, it was a disaster and Alexis might be hurting enough to lash out.

In the wake of Sam’s death, Jason and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) talk. She’ll tell him to “do it for Sam.” Obviously, he has a tough job ahead. He’s got to break the news to his son. And even harder, he’ll actually have to step up and possibly raise the kid!
We tease about him being absent so much, but we think he’ll definitely handle things better than Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) will. Someone’s been too busy worrying about his campaign and throwing a woman under the bus to avoid blackmail to even be at the hospital with his kid.
Or even take her trick-or-treating. We’ll see how this all works out, but we really do feel for these kids in more ways than one.

Elsewhere, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) offers congratulations. Based on the promo, he ran into Dante and learned about the proposal. From the clip, it’s obvious Dante has no clue what’s happened yet, so this is just one more way the writers are going to twist the knife in deeper for all the fans who wanted them to bring Kelly Monaco back.
It’s a safe bet this nice moment between Dante and Chase will be ruined by a call from GH. Honestly, it’s hard to even be too broken up, though. Not only did the news of Monaco leaving leak a while back, but they’ve been hardcore telegraphing this whole tragic twist. We wonder if they’re trying to make up for a loss in the surprise factor.
