‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers confirm Lucky Spencer (Johnathan Jackson) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebbecca Herbst) still have the same chemistry, as no time has passed since they last saw each other.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Liz And Lucky’s Reunion At Bobbies’ Was Inspired
The show paid a nice homage to Liz and Lucky, as they first met at Kelly’s Diner in August 1997, and that’s where they ran into each other for the first time in almost a decade.
Of course, Kelly’s is now Bobbie’s, and when Lucky saw the sign, he knew Liz had painted it. “I’d know your brush-stroke anywhere,” he commented to Liz, and it perfectly demonstrated the former couple’s connection to each other.
It was a wonderful and satisfying moment for GH fans who have been hoping they could get another chance at love.
Even though Lucky’s nine-year absence from Port Charles still causes some unresolved tension, the two still have a good rapport.
However, with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) in Port Charles, viewers know there is potential trouble brewing for them.
Ric suggested they rekindle their relationship, but Liz made it clear to her ex-husband that the only thing between them would be coffee talk.
It seemed like Ric was accepting of it, but that could change the more Ric is around Liz. This man is, after all, the same one who locked Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) in a panic room to steal her baby and give it to Liz. Not to mention, he wanted to stick it to his brother, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Ric also drugged Liz with birth control pills, which led to her embolism, and the list of his misdeeds is long and highly disturbing.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ric Doesn’t Take No For An Answer
So, fans know precisely what kind of man Ric is. He doesn’t take no for an answer. Elizabeth and Lucky will obviously be in each other’s orbit due to their son, Aiden Webber (Colin Cassidy).
However, Lucky’s recent memories indicate that he still has romantic feelings for her. It’s not hard to imagine that Lucky could pursue a relationship with Elizabeth beyond simply co-parenting.
If so, he may get some pushback from Ric, who could try to throw the competition off his game. Ric will resort to his usual manipulative tactics to get Liz to fall for him again. But we think Lucky will no doubt win Liz’s heart again.
Even though Liz has avoided expressing her true feelings to Lucky, she still carries a torch for him. Luke Spencer’s (Tony Geary) son and the lovely head nurse share a long and complex history with one another.
As Ric watches from the sidelines as Liz and Lucky get closer, he’s bound to try to ruin their happiness. We aren’t sure exactly what he’ll do yet, but we know that when it comes to Ric, we can expect him to go as low-down and dirty as he can.
Lucky and Liz were always one of GH’s best and most romantic couples. Lucky has grown up a lot since they were last together. The two of them fell for each other as teenagers, and it’s a safe bet they’ll eventually give their reunion another shot.
