‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that maybe Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was too quick to help provide Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) with an alibi after he murdered John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Pretended He And Carly Were Intimate
Granted, no one will miss the crooked Agent gone rogue. However, Sonny put Carly in an unfavorable position when he asked for her cooperation. Not so much her assistance but her collaboration with his version of events.
Apparently, everyone at the Quartermaines is stupid except Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). She’s the only one who immediately suspected that the mob boss was guilty.
Sonny just so happened to stop by the mansion on the same night Agent Cates was murdered at the Quartermaine family boathouse. Imagine that. It must be a total coincidence.
When Carly was upstairs with Sonny, he suggested they pretend like they were together in a room when the murder took place.
Then, to add insult to injury, when Sonny and Carly came downstairs, Sonny started to adjust his clothes and even appeared to be fiddling with his belt buckle in front of everyone, alluding to the two of them having been intimate just moments before.
For some reason, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) believed it and asked Sonny if he and Carly were back together.
Carly agreed to give Sonny an alibi because of their bond. She wouldn’t want Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) to grow up without her father.
But the minute Sonny walked in, fidgeting with his clothes, Carly should have slapped him. She agreed to pretend they had a one-night stand, which may prove to be a mistake.
And was that marriage proposal for real? Spoilers indicate Sonny may try to convince Carly to go a step further with his plan.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Sonny And Carly Merry-Go-Round
We have a sneaking suspicion that Sonny will seriously ask Carly to marry him soon. After all, if Sonny and Carly are married, she can’t testify against him. Didn’t we see this storyline already?
The dimpled don and the Metro Court Hotelier have been married and divorced at least eighty-nine times. How many times can two people ping-pong back and forth? It’s ridiculous.
But we hope that Carly will speak up and set boundaries. She’ll agree to provide an alibi but go no further. They have their story straight, and they will stick to it.
But let’s not sugarcoat this: Carly committed a crime when she agreed to give Sonny an alibi. She was set free from RICO charges and doesn’t need to be dragged into Sonny’s mess.
If she finds out, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will clash with her mother over her decision. Joss has been furious with Sonny since Nina and Nixon Falls.
She won’t be happy if her mom goes down protecting him. Many fans will argue with this and say that Carly is Sonny’s ride-or-die. This may be true, but it doesn’t make it healthy. In fact, their relationship has always been downright toxic.
Spoilers hint that the former couple soon find their way back to each other. We all knew Carly would help Sonny, but how far she’ll go worries us.
