Truer words were never spoken when it came to femme fatale Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). She would probably have chemistry with a cucumber if given a chance.
Carly is just one of those characters whom fans tend to root for despite her shortcomings. While some want to see Carly with her former flame, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), others swear Carly deserves better and should be with her ride-or-die bestie, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
With Sonny and Carly, one could argue that fans have been there, done that, and bought the T-shirt. However, there is also a reason they always seem to find their way back to each other.
No matter how much cheating, lying, and deception between them, many fans still consider them soulmates. Technically, they have been legally married on four separate occasions, but they also had a vow renewal in 2001.
That’s a lot of making up and breaking up. But the two have an enigmatic chemistry that will always be there. Their last divorce was in 2022 after Carly found Sonny in bed with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
After the whole Nixon Falls ordeal, many fans wanted Carly to kick Sonny to the curb. He was such a different man when he returned to Port Charles that he seemed to forget Nina kept him from his family and kids for months. He was quick to forget about their marriage and hook up with Nina.

There are also those fans who have been clamoring for Jarly to have a real chance at love. Jason and Carly had a beautiful wedding and were about to consummate their union when a presumed dead Sonny suddenly appeared in the room with them.
Carly and Jason had been slowly gravitating toward each other even before that night when they shared a romantic kiss that would seal the deal.
Jason also “gets” Carly in a way no one else does. Like the way he reminds her to stop, take a deep breath, and count to ten when she’s about to do something she may regret later.
His advice and warm words have always stayed with her, as he’s part of the reason why Carly softened over the years.
Jason and Carly may have told each other that they’re better off as friends, but we can see their unbreakable connection.
Fans would love to see Carly paired up with the handsome and dashing Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure). It was an interesting twist that Jack removed the FBI’s evidence on Carly, which almost got her sent to prison.
He genuinely appears to have a crush on the feisty Metro Court owner, and he was there to offer her his guidance when she asked for it.
Our girl, Carly, deserves not just to be wined and dined but also respected and heard. Hopefully, whoever she chooses as her next suitor will treat her like the Queen that she is.
