‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that, sadly, Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) days in Port Charles appear to be numbered. The powers that be decided to let Monaco go from her role.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: It’s GH’s Loss, Not Kelly’s
To add insult to injury, Sam is set to be killed off sometime this fall. We can only imagine this is the embarrassingly obvious way the show will reunite Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu Spencer (last played by Emme Rylan).
We aren’t sure it’s even worth it to Dante and Lulu fans since Lulu will be a recast, and we don’t even know if Dante and nuLulu will have the kind of chemistry that justifies killing off a beloved heroine like Sam.
Fans are compiling a petition to save Kelly Monaco’s job and Sam McCall’s life. However, we don’t yet know if this tactic will even work.
Anyway, it’s the show’s loss, not Kelly’s. Before Monaco joined GH in October 2003, she had her pick of soaps. We can only imagine that all the current daytime dramas will soon be courting Monaco and competing for Kelly.
Kelly could easily join the cast of The Young and the Restless as a new character. Why not? Genoa City has several potential suitors for the likes of Monaco.
It looks like Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) may have broken Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) heart so badly that she may never forgive him.
Adam may find himself suddenly single and available for a new love. Or, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), who had his heart broken by Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). He could meet Kelly’s character and be captivated by her considerable charm.

It’s a potential route, considering that when Thompson played on GH, his characters, Patrick Drake and Kelly, were once in a relationship.
If Y&R wanted to use Monaco to mine from its rich history, she could also be the daughter of Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) older brother, Snapper Foster (last played by David Hasselhoff), and Chris Brooks (Trish Stewart).
Monaco could spice things up on The Bold the Beautiful as a fashion designer at Forrester Creations. Monaco also resembles Taylor Hayes’s (Rebecca Budig) daughter, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Woods). She could somehow be Steffy’s sister.
She could also play on the super quirky and always fun Days of Our Lives. Kelly could appear on the show as a long-lost DiMera.
We can easily see her interacting with Kristen (Stacey Haiduk), Stefan (Brandan Barash), and EJ (Daniel Feuerriegil). She could also play EJ’s love interest.
Monaco could also be cast in the upcoming soap opera The Gates. One casting call describes an attractive and charming personal trainer named Luis.
Apparently, he “has his eye on one of the married women who live behind The Gates.” Monaco could be a married woman who likes to fool around. The show is set to tape in November, coinciding with Sam’s impending death.
If the Hail Mary attempt to save Sam doesn’t work, Kelly Monaco need not worry. She’s bound to find a new home at any of the above soaps where she’ll be appreciated and given a storyline worthy of her talents.
