‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest Ava Jerome (Maura West) doesn’t go down without a fight. She and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will duke it out in family court. They will each vie for custody of their little girl, Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ava Murdered Connie
Everything seemed fine between Sonny and Ava until Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) dropped a bombshell:
Ava went out of her way to sign an affidavit indicating that Kristina’s mother, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), had perjured herself. Thus, Alexis was disbarred and could no longer practice law.
After Kristina went off on Ava, Sonny kicked her out. However, not before threatening to expose the actual murderer of Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan).
Would Sonny go there? After all, he is a mafia boss. Isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black? That being said, in the July 1st episode of GH, Ava snapped at Sony at the Metro Court pool, and we couldn’t have been more delighted.
Ava reminded Sonny that he’s a career criminal, and he’s done things that are just as bad or so much worse. With the two of them going back and forth, one thing remained clear: this means war.
We can’t help but think perhaps GH will mine its rich history and make use of the fact that, yes, Ava did kill Connie.
However, Ava also knows that Sonny isn’t on his regular dose of bipolar medicine, and she could easily take advantage of Sonny’s recent volatile and unpredictable behavior.
Imagine Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) on the stand, testifying to the judge that Sonny beat the living snot out of him. And maybe Kristina, who said she’d testify on Dex’s behalf, must go to court, which would help Ava with her case.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Has More Potential Character Witnesses On His Side
We have a feeling the dimpled don has a trick or two up his sleeve before it gets that far. If Sonny were to discover that Ava knew his medicine was tampered with. Because Ava chose to keep the information to herself, he could have the upper hand in the case.
Sonny could also bring in character witnesses who would testify against Ava. Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) would be the first one in line to tell the judge how she messed with Morgan Corinthos’s (Bryan Craig) medicine, which inadvertently led to his death.
Nina Reeves (Maura West), Ava’s former BFF, would love to get on the stand and tell the judge who Ava truly is. As a bonus, she might even win points with Sonny.
While Ava is a schemer and knows someone has tampered with Sonny’s medicine, he doesn’t know that yet. That’s why we can’t help but understand Ava’s position.
Sonny throwing her out was unexpected and came out of left field. Kristina is Alexis’s daughter, but should Ava’s role in her disbarment send him over the edge? And why does he suddenly want full custody?
It is safe to say that Sonny has several angles he can use to take Ava down in court. And it could even cost Ava her freedom if she doesn’t want to give up custody of Avery to her unstable mob boss father.
