‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) may turn on Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to help Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brennan Advised Carly To Lawyer Up
When Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was presumed dead in Nixon Falls, Carly and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) took over Sonny’s business.
The FBI somehow has a recording of Carly at a meeting of the Five Families, telling them she was now the head of the Corinthos Organization.
Agent John Cates (Adam Harrington) has been riding Jason to gain evidence on Pikeman, as he made a deal with Stone Cold that if he played ball with the FBI, Carly wouldn’t go to prison for RICO violations.
Carly went to see Brennan in prison and explained to him the situation and how the FBI was using the leverage of her crimes to get Jason to work for them as an informant.
She asked him what the chances were that the FBI would keep their word and release once Jason accomplished his mission.
He told Carly there was very little chance they would honor the deal. Once the FBI finds a way to use you, they rarely let that person escape.
Carly told him about taking over Sonny’s business when Sonny was presumed dead and that the FBI had an incriminating recording of her.
Brennan told her that the FBI would eventually come for Carly because they never leave charges on the table. He advised Carly to prepare a strategy with a top-notch lawyer and expect to fight for her freedom in court.
Brennan likes Carly and is interested in her. It makes sense that he would give her the right advice. He told Carly that she “brought the light” to him. Brennan is obviously smitten.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brennan Won’t Get Help From Valentin
Meanwhile, Valentin has been promising for a while that he will help Brennan overturn his prison sentence, but it’s clear that Val wants to remain the head of Pikeman, and it doesn’t appear he’s invested in helping Brennan.
Brennan has been waiting for Valentin to come through for him, but he may soon realize Valentin isn’t going to lift a finger for him.
Once he does, he will likely betray Val to help Carly. The writers know a good thing when they see it. Carly and Brennan have an undeniable chemistry, and they will likely put them together.
However, Jack somewhat played a role in the ambush on Jason at the Corinthos Coffee warehouse. He knew Valentin wanted to have Jason killed and frame Sonny for it.
Then, there’s also the fact that Brennan knew that Valentin messed with Sonny’s bipolar medicine. Without his meds, he is not thinking straight. Sonny could lose his business and then Valentin could move Pikeman shipments and remain in power.
Carly wouldn’t like that. We would go as far as to say that she would hate that. She may choose to form an alliance with him now. However, when she discovers his involvement with Valentin, she may reconsider confiding in him.
Brennan has a compelling choice to make. He could wait for the rest of his life for a lifeline from Valentin or help Carly. We think we know what his decision will be.
