Princess Charlotte is already acting like a proper Queen. As Prince William’s daughter, she is third in line to the British throne after William and her big brother, Prince George.
Princess Charlotte Keeps Her Brothers George And Louis In Line
Charlotte has a knack for trying to get her brothers, Prince George and Prince Louis, back on track during royal and public events.
Princess Charlotte possesses many of the qualities her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, had. She’s very proper, well-behaved, and cheerful.
She is also self-assured, has a good sense of responsibility, and knows it is her duty to participate appropriately during royal events.
This was never more evident than when the children accompanied their parents, William and Kate Middleton, at Trooping the Color.
The family was standing on the balcony at Buckingham Palace, and Prince Louis was fidgeting, and Charlotte told him to behave himself and stand still.
Six-year-old Louis also stood on the balcony with his arms slightly scrunched right before the national anthem. That’s when Charlotte corrected him, “Louis, put your hands down,” Charlotte instructed.
Louis looked irritated, but he sure did listen to his big sis. He placed his hands down by his side and stood up straight as the national anthem started.
Charlotte then had to reprimand her little brother because he was dancing, and Charlotte ordered him to stop as King Charles inspected the troops.
Louis didn’t listen to her, and continued to dance, and Kate had a smile on her face, watching her children interact with each other.
This isn’t the first time Charlotte has tried to tell her brothers to behave. During Trooping the Color in June 2022, Charlotte stopped George from excitedly waving his hands at the crowd, and Charlotte placed George’s hands in his lap.
Charlotte Prepares Her Brothers For Royal Traditions
During Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in February 2022, the royal family appeared together on the balcony and while the national anthem played, Charlotte had to tell George that his hand shouldn’t be on the ledge.
George then proceeded to correct his posture like a fancy gentleman and removed his hands from the balcony as “God Save the Queen” started to play.
In July 2019, Charlotte dutifully helped her mother when she had to discipline George for goofing around as Charlotte took care of little Prince Louis, reaching for a toy to distract and entertain him.
During a somber occasion at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September 2022, Charlotte told her brother, George, that he needed to bow as the coffin passed them.
And again, during King Charles’s coronation in May 2023, Charlotte gave her little brother, Louis, the side eye as a warning to cease his childish antics.
Charlotte isn’t afraid to tell her brothers off when it is necessary. She feels comfortable sassing the future King, Goerge, and telling him what to do.
Charlotte is especially adept at preparing her little brother, Louis, for whatever royal tradition he needs to understand. Most of the time, the brothers will listen to their sister.
Sweet Princess Charlotte is a wonderful young lady who demonstrates the qualities necessary to carry out her future royal duties. She clearly has a fine example to follow, thanks to her parents, William and Kate.
