‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers let slip that there are two camps for GH fans: team Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) or team Jason and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Liaison: Star-Crossed Lovers
The Jason war has been going on for decades. Besides JaSam and Liaison, some fans want Jason with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), while others think the pair are better off as best friends forever.
There is also a sector of fans who are hopeful that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) returns from the dead the way Jason did and claims him for herself.
However, the general consensus, for the most part, is that Jason should either be with Liz or Sam. Fans of Liaison insist that this short-lived couple was the star-crossed pair that never got a fair shot at love.
If recent events prove anything, Jason will always be there for Liz when she needs him. Liz and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) just broke up. She caught him in a drunken stupor on his couch with a stranger, and fans couldn’t be more thrilled. Now, Liaison can reunite.
Most fans agree that Finn and Liz are good characters, just not together. As a couple, they lacked the chemistry fans crave in a believable love story.
After Liz witnessed Finn’s indiscretion, she promptly told him they were over, and as Finn went to grab Liz to try to stop her from leaving, Jason walked in and warned him to “let her go.”
Liz left Finn in his pathetic state and went to the Metro Court pool with Jason, where they talked. When Liz discovered that her son, Jake Webber (Hudson West), called Jason to help her, she was truly touched. Maybe Jason and Liz have a chance after all these years.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: JaSam: “A Love that Just Is”
Fans on the other end of the spectrum prefer Jason with Sam. The last time Jason was presumed dead, he returned to Port Charles and immediately went to see Sam, who was with who she thought was Jason, but it was really his twin brother, Drew Cain (played by the late Billy Miller at the time and is now played by Cameron Mathison).
For JaSam fans, theirs is “A love that just is.” For years, Jason and Sam captivated audiences who enjoyed their adventures and natural on-screen connection.
Their September 2011 wedding at a Chinese restaurant was romantic, memorable, and fitting. The pair wanted a small wedding because it became too overwhelming for Sam.
After a ride on Jason’s motorcycle and a stop at the Noodle Buddha, fate seemed to have other plans for the happy couple.
After Jason returned from the dead in March 2024, Sam was angry that he spent so much time away from their son, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn). She forbade father and son from seeing each other, fearing Jason’s lifestyle was too dangerous for Danny.
Recently, fans were encouraged by Sam’s sudden desire to help Jason. She learned that he was working for the FBI against his will. Could Sam’s decision to risk her freedom to help Jason signify her true feelings for him?
Many fans are torn. Only time will tell who Jason ends up with.
