‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers feel safe in saying that all of us knew Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was a dead man walking in his relationship with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) as soon as the news broke that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was alive.

Of course, we expected Drew to try to put up a fight instead of conceding right away.

Given his recent animosity and penchant for bullying Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) it seemed a safe assumption he would.

But then since he got out of prison he only seems to like fights he knows he can win.

There’s a lot of emotional scaring there, but so far calls for him to get help have been limited to fans.

Of course, fans also hate what the character has become, and we fear there’s more twists we won’t like coming.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Becoming a manipulator

After his recent confrontation with Nina that didn’t go how he expected when Nina turned it around on him by pointing out he would’ve lost Carly and then how she thinks there’s a rage boiling inside of him.

He seemed to give her a measure of respect when she asked how far he’d go to remove Jason, and that also seemed to light a spark inside of him.

Since he’s proven good at manipulating Nina to a point, ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers are curious if he’ll turn those new talents on Jason when he gets the chance.

We doubt the direct approach will work, and that’s where trying to romance Nina comes into play.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Using Nina

Since the more a pair argue the more likely they are to become a couple of the basic formula in soap operas, we’re willing to bet Drew and Nina will eventually develop a mutual respect and more.

Of course, it’ll be a long road since resentment like theirs can’t be gone overnight, but Drew hates her mainly because Carly did, and not that he’s out of the Cult of Carly influence, things will start changing.

We think there’s a good chance he’ll want to use Nina to infuriate Carly and make her jealous.

It’ll only infuriate her as she won’t understand his reasons, but that’ll lead to Drew and Nina actually accepting each other and start developing feelings.

With Ava Jerome (Maura West) working her own angle with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) warning Nina about Ava and how she didn’t like her married to Sonny, Nina may be willing to let go of her marriage and move on.

Will Drew and Nina be the next big couple in Port Charles? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
