‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers were excited for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)’s return as it had so much potential to be one of the best ever, and it’s falling flat now that Jason can never return to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)’s organization.
The new writing team went all in on Jason in an intriguing storyline, but after his return it went off the track in a big way and we’re wondering how the writers will fix it.
With Jason telling his whole story to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), the police commissioner who can use it against him, some to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and none to Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy), who as his lawyer needs the information and is locked into attorney client privilege, nothing it making sense.
And then he told Sonny everything but what’s being held over him. This is getting sloppy in a hurry.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers expected Jason to cover for Sonny or Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) after he was arrested, but that’s not the case.
He told Sonny he took the deal to protect himself, and that shoots down any idea of loyalty in that business is now gone since he showed he’s willing to work with the Feds to save himself.
He’s no better than Michael Cortinthos (Chad Duell) when he betrayed Sonny and tried to send him to jail for the rest of his life.
That’s a huge red flag for Sonny and it should ostracize Jason, but since all of the characters but Sonny have been changed, we expect he’ll have a change of heart at some point.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Sonny being removed?
The only thing reason we can think of to do something so… questionable is the writers want to strengthen Carly and Jason’s bond even more since she stood by him against Sonny.
It didn’t matter to her that Jason wouldn’t tell Sonny what he needed to know and had every right to know. All that mattered was defending Jason.
This could be the first step to Sonny being removed from power since everyone is turning on him because of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer)’s story despite knowing what he did.
Since Benard has talked about possibly retiring, this could be his swan song and they’re setting the stage for Jason and Carly to take over.
This is one of the more odd soft reboots we’ve seen, and we’re interested to see if the writers have something clever up their sleeves or will it match what we’re currently getting.
