There are some fun Thanksgiving traditions in soap operas, and ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers love how the Quartermaines simply cannot have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner no matter how hard they try.
Despite how badly things keep going, Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) is obsessed with having a traditional dinner once and not order pizza.
After the turkey’s escape, we don’t see how they can top that disaster, but we’re sure the writers will have something in mind and it’s bound to be epic with Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer)’s mother arriving in time for the holiday.
Gloria Cerullo (Ellen Travolta) will return as a nice surprise for Olivia, and maybe she can be the one to turn the tide of Thanksgiving surprises going sideways?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – What could go wrong usually does
While it’ll be nice to have Gloria back as we get to see her reaction at what will be a memorable holiday, we can’t help but wonder if she could be the cause of this year’s trouble.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers have a feeling she and Lois will want to help out, and while Olivia will appreciate it, we also expect her to not want them to trouble themselves. In other words, she wants to make sure it goes off perfectly.
Which means there’s every chance something will blow up from the caterer’s delivery truck breaking down, the Quartermaine stove exploding, or the turkey being a chicken this time around.
We admire Olivia’s grit and determination, but it may be time for her to admit defeat, or try a different approach, and this could be where Gloria comes into it.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Get the pizza!
While it’s a given the Quartermaines will once again order pizza, maybe it’ll work out if this time they order the pizza first and expect disaster?
A little reverse psychology can work wonders and Gloria may think ahead and place the order.
For us, it’d be hilarious if they do this and nothing goes wrong for once. Or if it does, it’s something minor that’s not a catastrophe like usual.
The pizza would still be there, and once the dinner is ready someone could bump the table and the food could slide to the floor or they could have an animal disaster like in “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”.
