Franco needs to come back from the dead. ‘General Hospital (GH)’ spoilers find that Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) needs a better storyline. She and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) have been tip-toeing around a boring relationship for what feels like forever.
The two characters come across like they are in junior high when they are around one another. That being said, Finn is a sweet character and needs a love interest of his own, but not Liz.
The death of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) never really made sense. Franco and Liz were one of General Hospital’s best romances; when Franco was Killed, fans were shocked.
What if his death was not real? What if he was somehow faking his death to protect Liz and had been waiting for it to be safe to return home? The storyline could work. It is, after all, a soap opera.
General Hospital made a significant mistake killing off this character, and they need to make it right. These days the talented Roger Howarth is playing Doctor Austin Gatlin-Holt.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: End Mason Gatlin Story
The character of Austin Gatlin-Holt has admittedly become more interesting when paired with the equally talented Maura West, who plays martini-loving badass Ava Jerome.
However, no matter how talented West and Howarth are, they cannot make the storyline any better with Austin’s cousin, Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey).
This storyline needs to come to an end. Fans are sick of this storyline continuing, and it is also a waste of the massive talent that is Roger Howarth.
It would be interesting to see more scenes between Ava, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard,) and Howarth, no matter who he plays.
This trio was highly entertaining in their recent scenes together. Ava and Sonny work well together, and adding Howarth to the mix was a nice touch.
Howarth truly shined when he made Franco his own after taking over the role from actor James Franco. When Franco was killed by psychopath Peter August (Wes Ramsey) in 2021, fans felt quite disturbed.
Howarth added charm and humor to Franco. He was also a unique character. A reformed serial killer is not too commonplace. Howarth became one-half of the popular pairing of Franco and Liz. Franco also made Liz a more compelling character, giving her some great material to play.

Fast forward to 2023, and Liz still does not have a great storyline. She is left with awkward exchanges between her and Finn, which have been put on the back burner. The sleeping pills storyline could not make the now lackluster Liz more interesting.
If Franco returned, it would change so many lives in Port Charles. Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) would have some fantastic scenes with Scott reuniting with his son.
When Cameron Webber (William Lipton) returns to General Hospital, the scenes between him and Franco would be wonderful to watch.
Liz and Franco could resume their love story, and that would be fantastic for fans who have been missing Franco.
Liz was at her best when she was with him. The two actors had great chemistry, and Liz was happiest with Franco.
Hopefully, General Hospital will soon give Franco and Liz fans their ultimate wish.
