While Summer has practically begged him for help in getting her mother, Phyllis Summer (Michelle Stafford) back, there’s no way that he’s just going to go about this for her.
Victor cannot stand Phyllis, and she cannot stand him. Even if he wants his granddaughter to feel better, I don’t think he can simply put aside his hatred for the woman and help to get her back in Genoa City.
If he does, he’ll make sure she ends up in jail and he’ll lie to Summer saying he did everything he could. Unfortunately for Summer, she probably won’t know any better.

We could tell by the look on his face when he looked at Summer that he was going to bend his answer anyway he could to make her happy.
Sure, he’ll do what he can to help find her, but he’s going to make sure she ends up where she belongs. What’s funny to us is that Victor seems to have time and manpower to do this, meanwhile his security team is getting dragged through the mud by Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby).
If his people do manage to track down Phyllis, you can bet that she will try her best not to be caught and evade him for as long as possible.
How long does she really have out there though and what will happen when she has run out of places to hide? Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like she has much choice now and will end up prison regardless.
